On the other hand, I heard a radio interview with Cliff the other day, and his genuine love and admiration for himself shone through just as brightly....
I saw Rod last year at Caesar's Palace (get me!). I'd never been a huge fan but have been since. He was brilliant, had really aged well, and was so down to earth. The lucky people down in the stalls were invited to climb up on stage and have their photos taken with him while he was singing. And I know he's had a chequered past, but when he talked about "his boys" and "his girls", his genuine love for them just shone through.
Have to sit through Cliff a week before we get Rod. DH is a fan but I think he is past it (CR not DH!). However it will be at Warwick Castle so maybe more atmospheric.
I saw him a couple of years ago in Glasgow. Tickets booked for October in a brand new venue in Glasgow, looking forward to it, the last one was great fun
My next gig is Bruce Springsteen at Hampden Park in a couple of weeks
I've always like Rod ever since he was with the Faces,I saw his recording at Sterling Castle and have tried to see if it was out on releasse but no joy,I am going to buy the new album it sounds very good,he's a bit like a good wine really !! gets better with age. hope you enjoy the show
I saw him once years ago and he seemed to be fond of turning around and wiggling his bum at the audience. Hopefully he doesn't do that now he is a pensioner!
He has definitely improved with age and is very good company when I'm working out in the gym! We are going to see hm in Brum and I'm very much looking forward to it. It is great to listen to the songs he wrote himself and wonder what was going on in his life at the time.
I saw him above a garage in Derby with Long John Baldry and Elton John but can't I remember the name of the group. I used to love him, went right off him, quite fancy him again now
Never been a fan but I heard some of his latest album on the radio and found myself thinking he seems to have improved with age! Hope you enjoy the show.
I'm not going personally but my 2 sisters and their husbands are seeing him this month in Birmingham. They have been life long fans. I can remember when they were teenagers I got them tickets to see him at a local venue when he was with the Faces. The tickets were £1 each! A bit different to now. He's wearing well.
I am going to see Rod Stewart in Manchester next week and the tickets have just arrived the sun is shining great start to the day! Anyone going to see Rod?
