We're watching, jingle.

Loved The Strypes - found them on red button. They all look about twelve. Rhythm and Blues at it's best!

merlotgran Sat 29-Jun-13 22:51:32

I love 'em but they're SO geriatric. grin

Oldgreymare Sat 29-Jun-13 23:03:16

Sound quality awful, have given up! sad

merlotgran Sat 29-Jun-13 23:09:43

Charlie Watts looks like he's forgotten to put his teeth in.

Love it!

DH watching.......................I've always been more of a Beatles fan.

merlotgran Sat 29-Jun-13 23:13:19

But they're still going, nina.

j08 Sat 29-Jun-13 23:23:05

The Beatles wanted to hold your hand, the Stones wanted to burn your town.

grin

Eat your heart out, Paul McCartney.

merlotgran Sat 29-Jun-13 23:32:16

This is soooooo good!

j08 Sat 29-Jun-13 23:55:36

I just love 'im.

j08 Sat 29-Jun-13 23:58:12

How could he keep that up? He's 69!

No wonder he's thin.

merlotgran Sat 29-Jun-13 23:58:28

Absolutely fantastic!

merlotgran Sat 29-Jun-13 23:59:58

I think he borrowed my fourteen year old grandaughter's legs for the night.

He looks 169!

And to think they all get the winter fuel payment! Fantastic grin

merlotgran Sun 30-Jun-13 00:06:22

Is that what keeps their legs going, vegas? Wish it worked for mine grin

Got to be honest and say I preferred watching Example who were on BBC3 before the Stones came on blush. I thought they were excellent. Looking forward to the Mumfords and First Aid Kit tomorrow night smile. Felt a bit let down by The Stones, although I assume they sounded better there than on the telly.

glammanana Sun 30-Jun-13 09:24:32

I thought they where fantastic they amaze me Mick Jagger certainly can hold a t-shirt and skinny jeans well,I'm waiting for the re-run on i-player,the other groups where very good and the crowd really seemed to be enjoying the performances I wish I had been there.

Marelli Sun 30-Jun-13 09:48:44

Watched them! Aren't they just fantastic - no geriatrics there! Just said to OH, "My pals and I used to copy how he danced when we went to the Drill Hall dancing, nearly 50 years ago - we thought we were very cool." I got a really withering look as a reply hmm.

j08 Sun 30-Jun-13 11:17:07

I watched the first half hour whilst on my exercise bike, the rest of it dancing.

Must ask for my knickers back this morning.

merlotgran Sun 30-Jun-13 11:20:47

If you came across one of them in an old folks' home you'd think, poor old chap......he's not got long. grin

Their energy was amazing and I think the sound imporved a lot when the set got underway.

Charlie Watts was born looking eighty!

Tegan Sun 30-Jun-13 12:34:10

The S.O. tells me that they showed part of the set that they weren't allowed to transmit live last night on telly today and it was amazing. I wasn't impressed with the playlist last night, but then I didn't get to see it as a whole. Supposedly Mick Jagger didn't speak for two weeks prior to the show and drank only water and lemon juice.

Marelli Sun 30-Jun-13 13:27:04

Trying to find it on i-Player, but can't find it. Anyone watched it again today?
