Andy Murray forgot his mum

She can now go back to being the alien mum in the Argos advert!

Sorry but I think of Judy Murray every time I see it.

Judy has never been so controlling as some tennis parents - the Williams sisters' dad, Sharapova's dad, Bartoli's dad.... But she has always been there to cheer him on. She's also been coach to other players and is now captain of the British Federation Cup team.

Know what you mean. From an opposite point of view I was upset years ago when my ex husband got his degree and invited his mum and dad but not me [even though we were living together at the time and I'd been up night after night typing it all up for him on an ancient typewriter [along with going out to work to pay for his studies ]. As you can see it still bothers me 40 years later!

That's true. I think I have a bit of a complex !

She had moved to the back of the box for some reason. I don't think he forgot her but he was eager to get back to the court. Maybe she just didn't want to push herself forward. Thankfully others ensured she didn't miss out on a well deserved hug.

She seemed to be sitting separately from his other friends/family. Someone had to remind him to go back.

I wonder where she was when he went up to the box? He said he could hear her squeaking as he was getting back down. Good job he went back
