I was out doing a bit of shopping and a woman gave me a card for reduced admission to the above mentioned club.

I am just wondering what type of person would want to risk being seen there?.

What is Legs 11? Is it a Bingo House ? confused

By the picture on the card I think it looks like Spearmint Rhino.

confused

Presumably you look like the sort of character who'd frequent a place like that, Frank! grin

You know about Spearmint Rhino then, on the Hagley Road , I believe .

You get around !!!

I visited an office by Spearmint Rhino, Hagley Road but it was in the middle of the day.
I also had a security man trying to get me in to Spearmint Rhino when coming out of the theatre near Birmingham City Centre.
I just told him to get lost.

Quite right too , you being a grand-daddy and all .

HUNTERF Tue 09-Jul-13 18:10:25

Nonu

Especially a girls granddad.
Also I thought people who frequent these places wear a dirty mackintosh.
I normally wear a dog walking anorak but not today.

I do not know whether they wear dirty or clean mackintoshs ?

Perhaps purely for research purposes you could check it out and report back ?

Only rub is, I don"t think Andie would be allowed in. So that could be a bit of a dilemma ?

I'm still none the wiser so will have to Google it.

A Gentlemans club , been going for about 50 odd years !

If ever there was a misnomer, gentleman's club is it. Spearmint Rhino is no place for a gentleman and no gentleman would go there.

Nonu Tue 09-Jul-13 19:22:02

You even from the backwaters of N>Z> have knowledge of it .

It must be pretty well known then ???

Nonu I have been in New Zealand for just over eight weeks and lived in London for 60 years. However, as far as I know we have nothing so civilised as a gentleman's club in the backwater where I now live.

Nonu Tue 09-Jul-13 19:27:01

Well you wouldn"t would you ?

Greatnan Tue 09-Jul-13 19:30:52

Richmond is a charming little town - I love it. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is close to the lovely shore.

absent Tue 09-Jul-13 19:32:08

Nonu What would I?

Nonu Tue 09-Jul-13 19:33:50

Have a Gentleman"s club in a backwater , everyone would know who visits and would gossip !

Greatnan Tue 09-Jul-13 19:35:23

Nonu - are you familiar with New Zealand?

Nonu Tue 09-Jul-13 19:35:43

Now this might strike you as a bit strange , we are seriously thinking of going to N,Z, for a holiday .

Greatnan Tue 09-Jul-13 19:36:29

What, to a backwater?

absent Tue 09-Jul-13 19:49:15

In the town where I lived for the last three years in England there was a so-called gentleman's club just by the courthouse. It was a standing joke about how it was packed out by pillars of society once the day's cases were over.

Another point.
Would the women in an aerobics class like to have a man in it who frequents places like Legs 11 or Spearmint Rhino?.

The woman who gave you the card didn't know you were a Bums and Tums devotee, Frank. She probably gave them to every man who passed, whether they were wearing dirty raincoats or not...hmm

Don't give it another thought...
