Oh, I thought I was fairly visible. I do have a profile but no photo as I am not sufficiently computer literate to upload/download(?)one.

I enjoy finding out about people. Some you "get to know" quite quickly especially if they post regularly and if some have a visible profile I will sometimes look them up to see the kind of threads they contribute to and what they say. I hope this does not make me sound too nosy but I find it fascinating. Such a variety of different types of people !

To be pedantic (again), shouldn't that be 'hear, hear'? I ask because I often see both versions these days, but was always led to believe it was short for 'hear him'.

And some of us who have spent a considerable part of our career teaching others the basics of our beautiful language would not regard it as trivia . Our foreign students often put us to shame in their desire to speak "correct English".
