Okay!!! The messages from so many lovely people have gone to my heart. My head has been over-ruled.

soop's kitchen is a cosy place. You lot are invited to drop in for a wee chat on whatever matter moves you.

Rory welcomes you with a purr. xxx

Oh I could do with a sit down and a cuppa - spent most of today looking for some elusive letters - OH and I both had a letter from the French medical about a Bowel screening but as we had them done last year do not need one yet - and I also had a letter about a mammogram - which I am due for. I put all three safely away and cannot find them - looked in all the likely places - and where thought I put them but so far no luck. It's not as if this is a big house with lots of places to hide thingsconfused

moomin, hope you're feeling better now flowers

thatbags Tue 27-Aug-13 15:25:12

Thank you for that, gaga! I love flapjack with dried chopped apricots. Just what I needed, plus coffee, after my walk this morning.
(whisper: ^I had two pieces^)

Yum! smile

moomin Tue 27-Aug-13 15:16:52

Feel like a nice brew so will help myself and have a couple of minutes sit down. OH and I have had a few "words" this aftie and I'm feeling slightly mis but I'll soon perk up sitting in the warmth of soop's kitchen. Then I must get back out into the garden, the sun's out and much to do out there sunshine

Good afternoon to you lovely lot.
I've been ironing for a friend. It's good to be back home and ready for freshly brewed coffee and catching up with your news.

Ella Thank you. How did you know that freesias are my favourite flower? That's so uncanny. When Mr soop and I first met [through the Dateline site] he gave me a bunch of freesias. smile
bags lovely to see you.
Gaga Apricot flapjacks sound delicious.
glamma have yourself a lovely day. Perhaps, when you're able, you could show us a photo of the wedding outfit.
finocchio I'm not down-hearted. We've dealt with much greater disappointments than this. The house will sell when the time is right.
Zengran Relax and enjoy some "me time".
That's good news for your daughter, Galen
Marelli grin grin grin
when Liz nanaej and moomin sunshine lots of it.

Kettle's on and I've just brought a tray of flapjack - try it Bags it's got chopped up apricots in it and is rather tasty!

thatbags Tue 27-Aug-13 12:33:57

Hello everyone. I'm just back from a lovely walk in the smirr. Got home just as it started to actually get wet. I'll leave my boots by the door. Is the kettle on?

Ella46 Tue 27-Aug-13 09:58:39

Morning soop et al, I'm a bit late starting today, but a nice cuppa and some toast will get me going.
I've brought more fresh eggs as I don't do baking but I like to pay my share smile
Also, some freesias to cheer you up soop xx

glammanana Tue 27-Aug-13 09:46:56

Just a quick visit for a nice brew and some toast & homemade jam before I get off to Liverpool to get last minute bits for wedding,I need a pale blue set of beads and earring and know just the shop where I can get them so it will be a quick visit lets just hope they still have what I want in stock,so I'll just drink my brew and get my thoughts to-gether before the onslaught of the crowds in Town.

whenim64 Tue 27-Aug-13 09:40:47

Good to see you, Zengran. smile I've brought some freshly brewed coffee to gee us up a bit and cream if you fancy it grin

Zengran Tue 27-Aug-13 09:29:22

Soop so glad you are still here, your wise words have boosted me on many an occasion flowers

Zengran Tue 27-Aug-13 09:28:09

Oooh, in need of a sit down and a cuppa. Been "helping" DD with DGD for 4 days, (tired mum, DGD doesn't like sleeping!) and am now back home. Surprised how tired I feel!

So sorry about your house Soop, if I had the money I`d SNATCH it up! Still, you get to enjoy your view a while longer.
Now, a slice of Bakewell tart and a nice cup of tea would go down a treat right now, put me in the mood, hopefully, for doing my online Asda order. Sorry I can`t contribute any recipes ladies, I`m not an accomplished cook like all of you.blush sad

That is bad news soop the right person will come along soon I feel sure. Fingers crossed for your DD Galen.

Galen Mon 26-Aug-13 19:11:04

Very!

nanaej Mon 26-Aug-13 19:10:36

Comiserations to soop and hooray to Galen's DD.

I hope that a new buyer comes along soon and loves your house.

The kitchen is roomy!

Marelli Mon 26-Aug-13 18:55:19

Oh dear, soop. That's such a shame - but don't be downhearted, because surely within no time at all it will be snatched up. Maybe the other people have been let down as well, along the chain? I'll have to look you up on the map -I'm headed your way at the end of September, so I'll be having a look in that kitchen of yours....wink!

nanaej Mon 26-Aug-13 18:43:48

I like Yotem Ottoleghi and Sami Tamimi recipies too...I will bake their almond and clementine cake and drop by with it..it is delicious.

Galen Mon 26-Aug-13 18:40:55

And toes, legs and eyes!

finocchio Mon 26-Aug-13 18:21:39

Galen fingers crossed for a successful completion on Friday!

finocchio Mon 26-Aug-13 18:20:50

Ella Sumac is lovely and I wouldn't be without it in the kitchen.

soop Your wee hoos will be perfect for the right buyer. Meanwhile, enjoy it and love it, as I know you do.

Galen Mon 26-Aug-13 18:00:34

My DD has just exchanged contracts and is due to complete on Friday! After the last one falling through at the last moment, I am sooooo relieved!

Bez Mon 26-Aug-13 17:58:04

Commiserations from me too - can be very stressful selling - we sold our last one at a low price but decided that was preferable to all the stress of hanging on and being hopeful!
Got some home made bread - multi cereals- just out of oven - will bring it to use some of that delicious sounding jam some one made earlier.

moomin Mon 26-Aug-13 17:23:35

I planted blue hyssop with new lavender bushes in the garden this year - it smells of aniseed/licquorice and the bees absolutely love it!

Sorry about the house soop, selling is a bind isn't it? Hope someone will fall in love with it soon, how could they not eh?

soop Mon 26-Aug-13 17:01:48

Thanks very much Ella I don't mind if I do. How very considerate of you. Gaga freshly baked Bakewell tart, eh! Oh, go on then, just a wee slice. Mr soop's been fiddling with the exercise bike. I shall try it out tomorrow. No really in the mood right now.

You lot are bad for me. I'm drooling over the all too many recipes. Are any of them utterly delicious and truly low in calories? Thought not. wink
