Okay!!! The messages from so many lovely people have gone to my heart. My head has been over-ruled.

soop's kitchen is a cosy place. You lot are invited to drop in for a wee chat on whatever matter moves you.

Rory welcomes you with a purr. xxx

Did you mention home-made flapjacks. Now, there's an offer I can't refuse.

The exercise bike has developed a loud clonk. I have no idea how to fix it. May need to wait for advice from somebody in the know. In the meantime, I shall enjoy our picnic. wink

Everybody's favourite cake is in limitless supply, greatnan. Or you can have your favourite ice-cream if you prefer.

Or both smile

Ariadne Fri 23-Aug-13 16:29:26

Oooh, here I am! Coffee and walnut cake for me, please. How lovely to know that we still have dear soop!

(Psssst everyone! I do have a nice bottle of wee drops for her, from us. We can have a cheer too? Just say. She'll be too busy to notice my whispers.)

moomin Fri 23-Aug-13 16:30:27

Cake's ready and all sliced up - help yourselves!

baubles Fri 23-Aug-13 16:58:06

I do a mean lemon drizzle (blowing own trumpet emoticon) smile

Do help yourselves.

Leaving work early, still hospital visiting, if you're all still here later I'll join you.

anno Rory says...no worries. He's on a pheromone high. smile
baubles Please blow your own trumpet. The louder the better. I'm just so THANKFUL that you lot knocked some sense into my scatty head. What's more, I'm chuffed to bits that thatbags bird is back in the flock.
Now then, what is it I should be doing...Ariadne perhaps just a wee dram to celebrate. wine
Any of you collared my rag rug? wink

I had a long list of seemingly important "to-do's" for today. Thanks to you lot I've done nuffink. Mr soop doesn't seem to mind. He's thrilled that we're all back together. A very good place to be. Having said that, it's well past time to wash the breakfast dishes, make the bed, hoover the carpet and other dreary tasks. hmm No worries...I shall be back sometime tomorrow. Thank you for a very special day. flowers

A measure of your popularity Soop! I've just 'clocked back on' and your post is on page FOUR! Brilliant! I was technologically challenged and in a right 2 & 8 (about the facebook thingy).
I shall need a strong coffee in the morning have to 'stage' jam and jelly entered in Hort Soc show tomorrow. If I put a doily under each pot, will that do?

Ariadne Fri 23-Aug-13 17:31:58

Here you are, soop - a bottle of the best malt, for your wee drams when the sun is over the yardarm. We shall raise our glasses to you, won't we folks?

I'll make a fruit cake, and bring a large tea pot. Can I bring 2 dogs - maybe I'll leave them at home. They just aren't very relaxed around cats..... Yes, they can stay home

So glad you and Rory have opened up your kitchen soop. The delicious smells of coffee and cake drew me in and it is so lovely and relaxed here. In winter we will be able to warm ourselves by the Aga.

I hope the walls don't give way. It is getting crowded.

Granny23 Fri 23-Aug-13 22:45:45

I have made a huge pot of HM SOUP but will save it for tomorrow. Think it is time to head home and let Soop get her beauty sleep moon

Nelliemoser Fri 23-Aug-13 22:59:24

Elegran They might only be virtual calories in Soops kitchen. There are too many tasty real ones in mine.grin

I have resisted, although my stomach is rumbling nicely. I am glad I did not read about the lemon drizzle cake earlier. It's only 8 hrs to breakfast.
Night all.

Good morning everyone - I need coffee desperately as am off to town to try and buy a dress for Godson's wedding; my least favourite occupation. What a beautiful cat thatbags I have brought some homemade bread for toast if you would like it, or perhaps you would prefer to put it with the soup. Have a pleasant day.

thatbags Sat 24-Aug-13 08:12:15

Thanks, lizg, what wonderful toast that bread makes [yum emoticon].

vegasmags Sat 24-Aug-13 08:14:27

Blinking eck - I go out for a bit and miss all this excitement. So Soop and bags were going, but then due to popular demand, came back. OK then and I'm glad about that, as I would have missed both of you.

LizG Sat 24-Aug-13 08:16:06

My pleasure thatbags. No good, got to grab my bus pass and go sad
