I'm in a silly mood tonight, and a song that I think was written the year I was born has come into my mind...............

Those bills in 'the old days' were OK - but nobody could hear anything for the squealing of pre-pubescent females!

Scrolling down from that clip, which I love. I saw "Will you love me tomorrow"
I remember falling in love with the lead singer of a group my cousin played in when I saw them perform that song. I was 12-13 at the time.

Kitty - at the risk of coming across as a know-it-all, wasn't Sorrow The Merseybeats? It sticks in my mind because my OH used to sing it to me 'with your long blonde hair and your eyes of blue, the only thing I ever get from you is sorrow'. I'm sure he was joking !

When I was 13, my best friend's Mum took the two of us to see Frankie Vaughan at Wembley on Ice, as her birthday treat. The usherette realised it was her birthday and told us to wait at the back before we sat down. We waited in the darkness and suddenly there was Frankie Vaughan who smiled , signed her autograph book and kissed her cheek. Result two starstruck teenagers and two fans for life.

Thank you Galen! Yes I do remember them and I do not wish to be reminded of that fact. wink
I realise now I should have said, "who on earth is that Galen talking about." grin

You were a screamer? Used to drive me nuts - I wondered what I was bothering to play for!
