When I retired last year I had in my mind to introduce a coffee afternoon among some of the neighbours.
After some problems re. setting dates to suit everyone it finally got off the ground after Christmas this year.
There are six of us with one youngster in her 40s and the rest over 60.
We all take it in turns to be the host and it last 2 hours. We hold it once a month and the host just serves tea and coffee plus biscuits.
We decide at the end who is going to do it next time and everyone brings along the dates they CANNOT do so we can make a firm booking.
It is not set in stone and if something crops up and you can't come so be it. By the same token I am taking over today because another neighbour has recently had an op.
Nothing very unusual but thought maybe an idea for others to follow.
