Dear Gransnet friends, I have just discovered all the pas that have been sent to me.
In the "old" days i used to receive an e-mail from Gransnet to say I had a message. I guess as the site has grown it just isn't feasible now.
Thank you so much for all your support, you have no idea, or perhaps some of you do, just how much they have meant to me.
DH has phoned to say he will probably be home today.
After 5 hours on the operating table on Friday I think it is a bit soon, but what do I know.
He has a 12 inch wound on his right thigh. guess it matches the other large ones he has.
When he is home I intend to start a column about the NHS and how superb they are here in Scotland. I cannot fault them.. More later, but thank you everyone.

I do still get an email if someone PMs me so suggest you contact HQ to ask them to sort out the problem

Major surgery is almost day surgery nowadays. I also think that a couple of more days in hospital would help but there again, the longer he stays in, the more likely he is to catch an infection. He will be well looked after at home. Take care of yourself.

I get emails re pm's - might be worth asking HQ as has already been suggested.

Better off at home out of the germ soup and the bosom of his family. They must think he's doing well if they are thinking of sending him home. Do make sure that you get any help you might need when he comes back. Hope all goes well.

Grandmanorm There is nowhere better than being at home to make you feel better,you DH will come on leaps and bounds (sorry the pun) now he is coming home to you,so glad things are on the up for him and you are feeling better yourself.flowers

So pleased DH is on the road to recovery. flowers I have stopped getting email alerts too, there is a thread about problems being experienced by some of us, hope it will be sorted soon.
