Glood morning, bright and chilly again here, Age UK has good insurances Mick, as does LV. Good luck with those. Yesterday did not work out as planned, neither of us was well, so we shall see what happens today, hope to get to the bowls club for the last day of the finals. Enjoy your days everyone.

Good Morning - a lovely, bright and sunny day here in the north west. I'm looking forward to a long walk with my dogs and a quiet day. I hope to get into the garden and continue the weeding, then get some bulbs in to brighten our days when spring arrives.

Bright and cool here. Re my post on G.M Saturday. The visit from DH sister went ok. Except when she was literally falling down drunk !!!!
DH cousin n partner stayed last night so waiting for them to rise so I can cook breakfast.

Enjoy your day everyone. Hope the move goes well Mick.

Bright but a bit chilly here in Cheshire. I am off to Bradgate Park in Leicestershire to look at the Geology. The forecast is a 50% chance of rain there. But the geology is more interesting there than here, so I am going anyway. smile

Yes Nellie there was definitely an Autumnal nip in the air this morning. It's bright and breezy at the moment. I'm going to pop down to the Nantwich Food Festival this morning to have a mooch.

Enjoy your day everyone.

It is a perfect september morning, sunny but chilly! DH on the mend so I got a decent night's sleep. Onwards and upwards - hope everyone has a lovely day! sunshine

Good morning from a very wet Dordogne - the rain started yesterday soon after I filled the washing line! - has continued off and on most of the time. The garden needs it and it does mean DH does not need the hose out every evening. Will need to search out some proper shoes before going to the market this morning. Hope you get to see the bowls Print M .

Sook Sun 08-Sept-13 08:56:29

Glad to hear your DH is on the mend gracesmum

I was very lucky last week when I was staying in Charente - gorgeous weather every day, but it rained on my way home and last night we had such a ferocious storm here in the Alps that the electricity cut out once or twice. Raining hard now so I guess it will have to be a reading/surfing/TV day!

Gally Sun 08-Sept-13 09:12:43

Glorious, glorious morning here. Not a cloud in the sky, the sea is calm as a millpond and the washing is on the line - think I may go for a ride on my bike along the coastal path.....sunshine

annodomini Sun 08-Sept-13 09:33:02

Bright and autumnal here. Mick, I have AgeUK home and contents insurance which turned out to be much more reasonable than my previous insurer.

AlieOxon Sun 08-Sept-13 09:40:21

Ditto here anno. It has rained in the night - good.

I am going to a Sunday sale for the first time in months, because now I can walk round!

whenim64 Sun 08-Sept-13 10:20:28

Yippee! I've won a tenner on the Lottery! By my calculations, my monthly direct debit of around a fiver for the past year or so means.....hang on a minute..... that's cost me about £80!!!!! grin

Zengran Sun 08-Sept-13 10:26:52

Good morning from about 5 miles away from Bradgate Park Nellie where the sky is a lovely blue with lots of fluffy white clouds - I think you'll be safe. We go to Bradgate lots, as do half of Leicestershire, so I hope you can find a bit with no people in it!

Enjoy your days everyone. sunshine

AlieOxon Sun 08-Sept-13 11:21:29

Grrr! I went to the farm where the sale was advertised yesterday for the 7th - and it obviously wasn't on!
They advertise at the end of the next road to me - so coming back, I checked and NOW it says the 15th.
I was looking forward to that.
Boooo.

harrigran Sun 08-Sept-13 11:27:04

Good morning, blue sky and sunshine.
Today is GD's birthday so I will collect my sister and her DH and we will go and see the GC. We will have an afternoon of fun and cake and then we will go to a restaurant for dinner. I love the way little ones enjoy their birthday meal in a restaurant, when we were little it was jelly and ice cream at home.

Sunny blue skies this morning then out of nowhere an enormous gust of wind, accompanied by a short downpour has lifted our quite hefty parasol over the garden fence, and was last seen making it's way down to the Thames! Can only think of Forest Gump's immortal line "life's like a box of chocolates you never know what yer gonna get!" only I'd substitute weather for life. Hope my younger son and his crowd of friends have pitched their tents with some care at Bestival where they have been since Thursday, personally can't think of anything worse than 4 days in a tent up to your armpits in mud, but might have enjoyed it say 30 years ago before creature comforts became important!

It was a beautiful sunny morning, quite warm, but clouded over and a fair bit cooler now.

Nelliemoser Sun 08-Sept-13 21:38:07

Kitty It was lovely all day. I hadn't been there for years. The views are exceptional.
The words Lo! the flat hills of my Homeland! As put by Sue Townsend into Adrian Moles mouth come into my mind! smile
