Bearing in mind the library which banned a knitting group ( was it Marlborough?) make sure you knit quietly - rubber needles? - and natter in whispers

It's really horrible in Norfolk again today. Wet and windy and cold and horrible. Just got back from picking up DGD for the morning and drove very carefully. I went on one of those speed awareness courses yesterday and I'm sure I annoyed a lot of rush hour drivers today!

Printmiss, don't talk too much or you may get chucked out like the Marlborough knitters! They finished up in a lovely local coffee shop. Off today on a HOLIDAY! Whisper it ,not to the Bahamas but to Eastbourne, bring it on.

Sad day today. I'm wearing autumn/winter skirt The weather really changed here. Strong winds last night.

My thoughts are with the relatives of 9/11 victims on this anniversary.

Wearing socks, and about to root out a couple of warmer cardigans....

We are on a slippery slope socks and boots on today, thermals next. I was frozen yesterday so had no choice but bring the socks and boots out, but my feet are toasty today.

The knitting group I go to are often far from quiet and can get quite unseemly raucous. However it livens up the pub where we meet and gives them some mid week custom. If we did meet at a library we would probably have been thrown out long ago.

Good Morning, like nina I am feeling sad about the sudden end of summer, I think we would all like it to go on for just a little while longer. have decided to put summer clothes away, I even wore a coat to walk to swimming this morning.

Bright and sunny here but quite cold. We are promised heavy rain this afternoon. It must be cold because DH voluntarily put the heating on last night.

I've done 2 Speed Awareness Courses nfk so I'm not sure they work

I snuck our heating on too and felt very guilty.

Just had the puppy out and the has started here.

Except for a very few weeks in the height of summer, our heating always comes on for an hour in the early mornings. We don't feel guilty about needing help to keep warm in a cool, damp climate.

Only a few weeks of the year when I don't need socks or a jumper too. You Sassenachs haven't a clue! ��

It's raining here too, and misty, with an outside temp of 14°.

We've just had several lovely fine days though so I'm not complaining.

Meant so have I so have I. Don't have time for previews. Just laid a carpet in a cupboard and feeling unkempt and flustered so having a little lie down.

Good morning - cool first thing but now lovely and warm - went to have my haircut first thing and then to have a coffee and matter with one of my friends who is almost housebound. DH STILL fiddling away sorting out his shed - truth is he had two of most things when we had both houses and now has two of most things here but it seems they are necessary!!
Maybe Mick will start posting from his new abode in a couple of days.

I am still wearing shorts but I must admit this morning the knees got a bit chilly not to mention wet when walking along the beach. I am going to keep going as long as possible - the thought of wearing long trousers and, heaven forfend, shoes and socks - is too much to contemplate yet..

Very dull and cool in Boston today, but can`t put the fire on as it`s on a wonky spasm, man coming to it on Friday.
Had another call from the hospital, operation brought forward from Oct 8th to 7th yesterday, now because of a cancellation, it`s the 23rd of Sept, pre-assessment next Monday afternoon.
