I only got a few answers right and some were guesses. Came out just above average for my age. Any takers?

Lona Thu 26-Sept-13 10:26:41

I didn't guess, got 32%, above average for my age.
My ds did this last week and was hopeless!

glammanana Thu 26-Sept-13 10:47:58

I guessed on one and came out with a score of 26% above average it says for my age,I did think I was a more up to date nana than this.

MiceElf Thu 26-Sept-13 11:09:15

28% slightly above average. But still pretty awful. I'll test my DiL on this later.

Elegran Thu 26-Sept-13 11:12:38

I failed miserably - 4%

I am not sure whether it is a good thing to know all that stuff though. Shows you are not comfortable in your niche (whatever it is)

Ana Thu 26-Sept-13 11:17:24

I got 16%. Possibly those of us with teenage grandchildren (or children) might do better!

Granny23 Thu 26-Sept-13 11:21:21

I scored nil points. sad My excuse is that my DDs are now in their 40s and oldest DGC is only 6 so none of these is a subject for conversation. Now IF they had asked about Moshi Monsters, Hello Kitty or anything on Cbeebies, I might have been Mastermind. wink

Nelliemoser Thu 26-Sept-13 11:45:27

4% Well I always knew I was a square. I am in good company with Elegran though.

Elegran Thu 26-Sept-13 11:58:54

Together we are a cube.

NfkDumpling Thu 26-Sept-13 12:06:27

Pleased to say I got 12% - but I only actually knew one answer, the rest were lucky guesses!

gracesmum Thu 26-Sept-13 12:07:13

shysal Thu 26-Sept-13 12:21:33

Think I got 100% *gracesmum!

Nelliemoser Thu 26-Sept-13 12:26:44

Elegran that does not sound geometrically correct. Two squares together would surely make a rectangle. wink

shysal Thu 26-Sept-13 12:27:18

No, not 100%, I didn't know any of the acronyms. Did you make them up?

gracesmum Thu 26-Sept-13 12:31:00

Ha ha!! Would I do that? wink

TNAT That nice Alan Titchmarsh
CUATGC See you at the garden centre
TFMN - I think I might have made that up and have forgotten already what I had in mind!grin Suggestions gratefully received!
WRMRG Where are my reading glasses??

Elegran Thu 26-Sept-13 12:32:11

If we spell it wrong as well as being geometrically wrong, we could be TOO SQUARE.

Ariadne Thu 26-Sept-13 13:29:14

Brilliant, gracesmum! I got full marks, or near enough. On the other one, even with teenage GC, I failed completely. Still, I know which I preferred! smile

thatbags Thu 26-Sept-13 14:03:20

0% on the kids' one, and not only utterly unperturbed by that, but rather glad that stuff isn't under my radar.

HMHNanna Thu 26-Sept-13 14:49:47

28%, only because I was reading an article about One Direction last night. Why did I just write that? Oh and I saw Helen Skelton on TV this morning, it is her last day on Blue Peter today. I was 62 last birthday. How things change. I can't imagine my nanna reading about the Beatles when she was 62.

Lona Thu 26-Sept-13 15:55:08

I thought my 32% was going to be a low score.......guess I am 'down with the kids' blush but I do have savvy teenage gds.

thatbags Thu 26-Sept-13 15:58:54

I have a savvy almost teenage daughter but I have to keep up the level of eye-rolling tolerance (or not) of my ignorance of the world that I provoke in her or I wouldn't be doing my duty as a parent wink

Lona Thu 26-Sept-13 16:08:21

bags believe me, I am a figure of fun to my dgds as well as my dd and ds!

thatbags Thu 26-Sept-13 16:11:53

I quite enjoy it, Lona. I'm sure it's good for her self esteem for me to be an ignoramus on teenage issues. wink

Ana Thu 26-Sept-13 16:11:58

No use trying to play it down, Lona!

You are officially Gransnet's 'Down with the Kids' Star grin

thatbags Thu 26-Sept-13 16:12:38

Only to be expected, after all. I'm so old!
