I totally agree with you I have been made to feel an outcast because i cannot stand all of the so called reality programs, they seem to be cashing in on every thing, dancing, cooking DIY, I am so glad I am not the only one

If someone stole our television, I doubt we would notice, we have completely given up watching it - except when I am doing the ironing, when I usually watch either an antiques or property program, but only as wallpaper.

Cannot remember when I last really wanted to watch a specific programme.

I never watch 'live' TV anymore. I record everything and FF through the boring bits - adverts, too much chat on Strictly, car chases or other chases, fights etc. on my favourite American TV shows. I can watch an hour's programme in less than 30 minutes!!

I also don't watch any of the "reality" shows. I watch very little actual TV, when I sit down in the evening I inevitably put on a DVD because I can't find anything I want to watch. I don't have Sky, just Freesat.

When there's nothing on BBC4 that I want to watch there's usually a film on Film4 that I haven't seen.

I detest reality TV and the so called celebs who would turn up at the opening of an envelope. Spooks is one that comes to mind that I liked but mainly we record anything of interest. There really is nothing on TV that I look forward to watching, especially at the weekend.

Anyone else experience the memory loss thing whereby, you start to watch a film, realise you know you have seen it before but can't remember too much of it so enjoy watching it again?

I also cannot stand X Factor, Bake Off, football and so called "comedy" programmes. I do not have Sky and I do not think that I miss it. Some evenings I am lucky if I watch 30 minutes of TV. I also like to record for the same reasons as janthea and it works.

I doubt if the BBC has the money to make programmmes as the staff get very good handouts when they leave.

I want to see the Tudor Farm series (Ruth Goodman & Co) starting next Wed, but will probably have to do catchup on the first episode, as I have an early hospital appointment the next morning and must sleep!

I discovered the Onedin Line is available online and I'm watching the first series there.

I've seen far too much daytime TV over the last year through having to lie down and rest my back, it gets very boring.
Glad I don't have anyone wanting football, except grandson occasionally - but it's MY TV !

Forgot. We watched a box set last week called 'The Bletchley Girls'. About 4 females who worked as code breakers during WW2 then years later used their knowledge to solve a murder case. Worth watching.

Glad I am not on my own with this, never watch morning tv, soaps, reality programmes and yet why do the people who print womans magazines fill them with rubbish about these so called 'stars', wouldn't cross the road to speak to them.I have given up on Masterchef now, feel like I've seen it too many times before. I do the same as Janthea now, enjoy a good book while programmes recording then watch it in a very fast time afterwards, I really don't have to listen to Bruce Forsyth!!

Agghh! Nonu i can't bear it. Football yesterday, Elvis today , football Saturday and Sunday. NO! We have a fabulous new telly and there is nothing on it I want to watch.

Being nosy is the new TV a flat screen ?

The stuff on TV is decreasingly worthwhile to me. The news is boring IMO and nothing really grabs my attention. Consequently I am thinking of getting rid of the TV and saving the licence fee to help pay for the ever-increasing fuel bills!

I watch Emmerdale and Coronation Street, dramas on ITV and BBC1 & 2, comedies which aren't too gross and nature programmes such as Autumn Watch. I can usually find something to interest me for the odd hour or two...

DH watches repeats of Morse, Frost, Foyle's War etc. on ITV 3 because although he's always seen them before he can't remember the endings!

Meant to add - I only watch such programmes during the gaps in my hectic social life, of course...

Best programme on telly at the moment is 'Gogglebox' on Channel 4. TV reviewing couldn't be more hilarious. I love the posh couple.
