I'll join you in a coffee Soop. DD2 has been mailing from Brisbane again today showing me how she is renovating an old farmhouse table. We blether a lot even though she is so far away and I am really grateful that she is happy and healthy but, today is one of those days when I am desperate for a cuddle from her but don't want to,tell her as I know it would upset her.

I've not popped in for a while as it is always so busy such a popular and cosy place to be soop you have made it everyones second home from home
There is some walnut slab cake on the counter for all to have with a when they feel inclined & a nice coffee cake just in case anyone has a nut allergy,you can tell I have got myself back into baking mode after the festivities. Enjoy !!

Morning, Missed you all over the past few days, no time to pop in. No.1 son DIL and 2GC here until yesterday.

Wouldn't worry about it Bellasnana. My DD has just mentioned missing an appointment so it's not just our generation. People have busy, busy heads, that's all. I put apps. On my calendar then a post it on the fridge --- and still forget

May I come in and hide please? I am so embarrassed as I had a hair appointment today at 4pm ( or so I thought). Was just about to leave when I checked my diary and realized I should have been there at 2pm. A senior moment or am I losing my marbles ?

I'm going to do myself an injury soon as I am popping into threads on here and also having a 3 way blether with my DDs. DD1 lives ten minutes from here and DD2 lives in Brisbane

Thank you, Agus. My friend who worked with me in Fowey, some thirteen years ago, gave me the top for Christmas. It has had a number of outings. The Per Una skirt is even older. A good value garment that can be dressed up or down.

I've been so busy posting on other threads, haven't popped in here. But I have a tray of freshly baked cheese muffins ...

I had been thinking about starting a 'happiness thread' but then remembered ... there is one, in that kitchen!

This made me really happy yesterday - I was in Tesco looking for something on a shelf when a boisterous child of about 10 or 11 or so bumped into me in his clumsy efforts to locate the peanut butter. Simultaneously I noticed that he had Down's Syndrome and also had difficulties with co-ordination, and that he had his younger sister with him, and when I looked at her, she made eye contact and gave me the most, imploring, appealing, knowing look ever that said "Please be gentle with my brother". I stepped aside, helped them find the peanut butter (mum was bringing up the rear) and was rewarded with two gorgeous smiles. A happiness moment.

Charleygirl I meant to thank you for the kind comment regarding the not-so-wee-man. His laughter and sunny disposition light up our lives.

The wind is howling outside the window. Vast waves. The ferry has been cancelled. We've tried to anchor the bird cherry tree with rope and a concrete block. It is swaying to and fro...would be sad to see it uprooted.

Just popped in to tell you I have a working WASHING MACHINE!
After several months doing it by hand.....got it connected this morning.
I texted my handyman bloke to ask him when he could do it, and then, looking out of the window, there he was. Like magic.

So....I am now on the second of what will be 5 washes...yes I did let it pile up a bit....but I didn't run out of knickers.

Ha ha! Thanks to your good advice, I've uploaded last night's image in number one slot. MacSporran set the camera on a timer. Well, it took three attempts to get the shutter to close at the right time. Third time lucky. This is a special Slainte to all my special Granspals.
