We have a home cinema and have been invited to ask the members of the WI to join us to watch a film. We can get a film from Love Film, but what I need are suggestions.......not too much sex or violence I would guess, and maybe maybe light-hearted (they are here for a good evening out).

there was a lovely film called something like Enchanted April [April in the title anyway] about a group of 4/5 ladies sharing an Italian villa holiday in about 1920 I have seen it twice, it has everything, a touch of humour, a spot of romance and each person comes away happier and calmer and wiser than before the holiday.

Oh, I remember that one, with Josie Lawrence. Lovely. I did love The Best Marigold Hotel, too.

Oh, and I'd forgotten that priceless Aussie film, 'Muriel's Wedding' - humour, pathos, but never sentimental. I've seen it many times on TV.

Captain Corelli is another one, or one for thought - the Rabbit Proof Fence - how the aboriginal children with white fathers were removed from their native mothers - good film.
