A lateish good morning from damp cold Cheshire. I have just been out for my Supermarket run. 2hrs and back home, via Asda, Petrol, Wool shop. Freeport Outlet home all missions accomplished.
On my way out I was listening to Desert Island discs with the Rev. Rose Hudson-Wilkin who is now a C of E chaplain to the house of Commons, and the Royal Chapels and runs a parish in Hackney, she is inspiring!
She is Jamaican with a lovely accent. Full of intelligence, confidence and humour she was talking about her early years in Jamaica which were not easy and how she felt called to be a vicar.
I am not a believer but she really came across as a lovely person. Her music choices were fun and lively, her warmth and exuberance has cheered me up for the day.
