Another night with little sleep coming upsad. Anyone else out there???

Tegan Tue 04-Feb-14 00:38:41

Yep; can't break the habit I've got since retiring of watching tv till late and then sleeping till 11.30/12.00. Mind you, am currently revisiting my past on the internet, which is freaking me out totally. Have found that someone has written a book about the time she spent in Cornwall at the same time that I was there [and with the same people]. Blimey; I might be in it shock. Hope not; I was a right idiot in those days [nothing changes]. Mind you, I doubt it; I was always one of those people that disappeared into the background sad and was so shy I doubt if I ever spoke to anyone sadsad...

Yes I am still up. Got into a discussion on FB about friend's great uncle who died at the battle of the Somme, was mentioned on Jeremy Paxman documentary tonight.

Tegan Tue 04-Feb-14 00:54:11

That programme is breaking my heart; so many personal stories sad.

...now superglueing a money box together that's been broken for years. Bought some single use superglue from Wilko's today [along with lots of other things; Wilko's being the best shop on the planet when you're in 'getting organised' mode]. Now understand how that lady got superglue mixed up with eye drops; very similar tube. Glad I decided to wear rubber gloves at the last minute shock.

Well I have had a long (indoor) walk and done a bit of tidying up so ready to try bed now. I have forgotten to bring my pyjamas through here so wondering if I can find them and put them on without waking DH - off to bedroom 'a pas de loup'

Granny23 Tue 04-Feb-14 05:56:10

I seem to have been last to bed and now first up and talking to myself on here sad

Granny23 G'morningsunshine You win the gong for being the longest awake last night! grin. A very dubious prize. I get totally absorbed in Scrabble, which is very unhelpful towards switching the brain off mode needed to fall into the Land of Nod. It seems Tegan does her best DIY work in the wee small hours (for me the ''wee" in that expression has different connotations! and is often the cause of waking up).
Here's hopefully to a night\early morning coming up where we all have a long, undisturbed night's sleep...

AlieOxon Tue 04-Feb-14 11:00:03

I know about the wee small hours!

Tegan Tue 04-Feb-14 11:14:57

I'm well chufed with the superglueing [still in one piece grin; good job I did use gloves [and wear glasses] as I could easily have been glued [literally] to the pooter. Having bought a pack of wilko's single use superglues, I'm now desperate to use it again. May have to break something first [good at that]. I've found that listening to music gets me to sleep; it has to be certain music, though. Used to be Alt J but London Grammar does the trick now. Sigur Ros sends me into a stupor as well, but that's because find it boring. Now have to find some 'wake up' music.
