..anyone else awake??

Oh dear, I'm sorry that everyone has had a bad night. I'm embarrassed to say why I've been awake, it seems trivial. We are on holiday in Portugal. DH has been snoring all night and just as I eventually got to sleep his alarm went off at 5.45am, as he has an early morning golf game. He has been blundering about since them. I'm going to have a long soak once he is gone and go and then go and get DGD to allow mum to have a shower in peace.. I fear this will be the pattern for the week. I hope everyone feels better.

Oh dear, seems last night was rotten for so many of you! Maybe the weather had a hand - change in 'pressure' can affect us. Here's to a bleary Monday then!

I’ve been awake since 4. Isn’t it a horrible feeling? Having a cuppa, feeling shaky and weary. This is becoming a pattern.

My reason is different. I woke at 4 and tried to read. As expected, my sudden onset sore throat snd head cold gave gone to my chest, which feels really raw. There are so many things I have to this week but now won't be able to. My chest has been my weak point for the last couple of years. Feeling miserable, but sorry for those with things on their mind. Hope Monday goes ok for you.

Like wise tanith I've read and really tried to switch off but it isn't working.
Worries are so much worse during long nights.

Third night running I've been awake at 3:15 toss and turn for an hour then creep down make a cuppa and watch the news or play games. Too much on my mind.

After sleeping well for a week it's 'bing', wide awake. Grrr. No reason, just me being me I guess.

I couldn't get to sleep at all last night. Visiting my mum is getting even more upsetting, I didn't think it possible. Feel rubbish this morning and 2 DGC are here, I'll have to put a brave face on.

Awake most of the night, and far too early now. I wanted to lie in a bit, but I'm so thirsty I need a drink. Got a pounding headache.

I've been awake since 2.30. I'll probably nod off half an hour before I need get up.

Woke at 2.45.....tried to doze off again...got bored just laying here wide awake so now got a cup of tea and iPad sitting up in bed lol....".

I'm awake and now overtired, but very thankful that since I've been ill The Wonderful Man has taken over all the household tasks so I can sleep in tomorrow - and have a nap during the day if I feel like it. zzzzzzzzz

Me too. Went to bed, after a lovely evening with friends, about 1.30, think I nodded off for a short while but here I am now. Not exactly WIDE awake but too awake to sleep-grr! Such a lot to do tomorrow too, wanted to be refreshed. Ho hum, the life of an insomniac.

Fell asleep at about 8:30 last night, woke at 1:40, mind whirring. Tried to get back to sleep. No go. Bah!

Wide awake at 5 after a reasonable night with few surfacings. Usually have 4 hours then toss and turn and try to doze till 6. Never later. I suppose we must get enough sleep to function because somehow we do. Hey ho.

Think I'm turning into a cat. 2 hourly cat naps are the norm now unless I resort to a glug of Night Nurse or similar.

Isn't Saltaire near Bradford? That is charming in a Victorian industrial sort of way, so you may have been closer to the truth than you think.
I had 2 hours, then 4 and then a bit if a nap, thank you morethan2 so I am fine. And at least I knew Paw hadn't pulled his catheter out of the night bag, so rather like when you are woken up by a (grand) baby and your second thought is "thank goodness he's alive" (done that?) I at least knew all was well in the plumbing department -

Hardly slept all night. Dreamed I'd gone to Bradford for a meeting (never been in Bradford in my life). Totally lost in the town and wandered for hours, asking for help, but couldn't find the train station. . Did you know Bradford had a beautiful esplanade and cobbled lanes, quite picturesque? Well it did in my dream.
Found myself on a tram (does Bradford have trams? ) Kept waking up in a panic, as the tram never stopped anywhere and no-one would answer me when I spoke. (I should be used to that one, as that's what DH does . It was horrible.
Have a blinding headache and really grumpy. To top it off, DH has decided he will get up too, just when I wanted some peace and quiet. I'm off for the papers, a bit of fresh air should clear my head.

I'm up, but I've slept from around 11ish to 4 uninterrupted. Then back to sleep until seven. I best get outta here before you all throw bricks at me. Four hours Maw will you have forty winks later in the day? Chew I hope you managed to get back to sleep. I'm so happy for myself though, really really smug emotion sorry but when I looked at the clock and it was 7 I felt as though I'd come first in a race.

Phew, managed a reasonable night. Only awake since 6.30. My sympathies to those awake in the early hours. I'll doubtlessly be joining you again in a day or two.

Have been up since 6am but awake on and off since 2.45am!!!! Gonna get in the shower in a mo to get ready for a shift at work which starts at 8am. Maybe thats why i didnt sleep so well worried i might have overslept!!!

Good morning As usual I have been awake since 4 . In bed with a coffee now planning the day .

I've been awake since 4.00 and am now downstairs with a cup of tea. I can hear my husband snoring. It's quite funny because he wouldn't believe me about his snoring and always said he can't have been snoring because he was awake.

I pointed out to him that he wakes himself up and then goes straight back to sleep. He didn't believe me and put an app on his phone to monitor his snoring. It reached epic, some of that at the time he insisted he was awake!
