I am thinking about getting a new smart phone, I am looking at unlocked ones, as I don't like contracts. I want a reasonably priced one that does everything. Has anyone got any suggestions

Well, I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 on pay as you go and it does everything I want or need.

Camera on it is better than our digital one, apart from the zoom!

Ohhhh I have just dropped mine again and smashed the screen, for the 2nd time.I bought a cover from Amazon but for some reason they sent the wrong one, but didnt get around to re-ordering, I do intend to send it to the school bring and buy when I remember.

I have a Samsung its easy to use but fragile smile not sure how much the phone would be, I am on contract. I do prefer the Samsung to the blackberry I had previously.

Ive got an iPhone on a very cheap contract just £21 a month, I think it would cost me more than that on pay as you go as I don't have a land line anymore.

I've just upgraded to iphone5 it arrives later this week. I'm offering the old iPhone 4 to dd tomorrow. If she's not interested is anyone else?

The camera is very good. It's just under 2 years old.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 which I really like, though would prefer longer battery life. UnfortunatelyI think short battery life is something most smart phones come with. I think the S2 has been superceded by newer versions now. but I know a few people with various Samsung Galaxies and they all seem happy with them.

Thanks everyone for your input, there are just so many to chose from.

I've got an HTC Desire from Tesco's on a £10 per month contract.
It does everything I need and is wonderful, in my humble opinion. smile

Just arrived back after doing some sewing. Its good to have all of your opinions, like I said there are so many to choose from so I'm grateful to hear which ones you all think are good. flowers

I love my iphone even though it is quite old. It is on a £20 a month contract which is up in June so I hope they offer me an upgrade. It "talks" to my ipad and is idiot proof. It is also free to "message" anyone who has an apple product.

Love my iPhone - about to upgrade to iphone5, with tethering to the iPad optional.

I have a Sony Experia M, and I love it! Although I did hate it at first and did threaten to throw it out the window, but we made up and its great, and the camera is good as well.

I have an iPhone - handed on from my DS grin - with a £10 a month pay-as-you-go which is plenty for me.

My original HTC smartphone ended its useful life in my washing machine, so DS1 dug out an old one and transferred the Sim card which had survived its bath. That was well over a year ago and his outdated Samsung has done me proud.
