This thread was useful this weekend - I needed to know the weather on the 7th Feb. I know it was finer and not stormy in Oxon -but I needed some proof! (For a complaint to the council).

Awake early and expecting gardener.

Allie think it was a Friday and it was wet and windy ,its a pity the chat page does not go beyond the 11th.

Yes it was Friday - I couldn't find it but I got Gransnet people to give me a link, you said it was wet early but after that someone else said the forecast for the rest of the day was good.
Which fits in with council workmen arriving next door about 10.30.....they have bashed my shed!

Raining here in South Wales - and I have to take GS to school as my son is still incapacitated following his op.

Two lovely grandson still here one of my local ones went home but his sister joined us last night for sleepover. Two chattering cousins awake half the night. I'm feeling very sorry for myself i'v got a really stinking cold. The sort with a red nose, explosive sneezes, sticky. watering eyes, headache and tired. I suppose i'v given it to my poor boys who will take in back to Norfolk. Their local cousins will give it to all their friends & family here. Plus my daughter is coming tonight with her two teenage sons who'll probably get it & take it to the midlands. This time next week half the country will have it

I'm off on a cruise around the Canary Islands. Flying to Tenerife to start cruise.

Waiting for my newspaper delivery here in the Thames Valley - just realised it is half term so the papergirl must be having a well deserved lie in.

Good morning, grey and drear here. But I dont care! My wonderful sister has come from Surrey for a couple of days to help me clear the house. It makes me realise how much I HATE living alone in this vast pile. Kiora hope you start to feel better soon.

Kiora I prescribe curling up on the settee with a duvet and the tele.

Oh Brenda can we all come its sounds just the tonic we all need from this grey. Sewsilver aren't beloved sisters worth their weight in gold. I have 3 but only really get on with one but she's a treasure. I haven't kept up with how things are going with moving sewsilver update me. Enjoy your sister xx

It is dull and cloudy here but dry. I think that the forecast is yet more rain but not the amount that has fallen out of the sky recently.

Good morning everyone. It's another gorgeous day here in Malta - like a UK summer's day really. Have been giving the house a good clean before we go away. DD3 and DS will still be here to take care of the furry members of the family, but I doubt if they will be doing any cleaning!

Kiora - sorry you are feeling ill. Have you ever tried using a certain mouthwash beginning with 'L'? I swear by it as I have honestly never had a cold since I started using it around seven years ago. I used to get one cold after another before that. It won't help you now but may be worth a try to prevent future colds.

Dull and overcast here I'm off on my monthly jaunt two days in sunny Milton Keynes to spend a miserable day doing a Mr.T shop for an old friend. She is almost housebound but very stubborn and independent. I'm going to miss watching the Olympics as she has no tv and I can rarely find an open BT wifi to use.. hey ho I'm taking my knitting with me.

Good morning everyone, gosh I was shocked that Mick was not the first post, hope you had a good long lie Mick. Snowing here and sky looks a bit heavy. Off into town this morning to get miniature toiletries for my flight down to Southampton. Was going to travel to Glasgow by bus but heavy snow forecast for Thursday so I decided to play safe and book a train ticket instead. Of course I miss out on using my bus pass, cant use it on the train. Hope everyone has a nice day.

Good morning everyone, I overslept as well - even missed the phone ringing and the call from my lovely friend but I will ring her this afternoon. It is dry here and a little overcast, I think rain is forecast for later on, but we are not doing anything except cleaning, so not worried about the weather, just hope it stays dry for those folk living in the flooded areas.
