Oh, good grief, 21 apply to me This is where GN is so brilliant, as we can chat away with dozens of each other without having to walk into a room full of us!
Has anyone done the Eysenck test, which looks at introvert/extravert, neurotic/stable? Helps you plot where you come with more scope. I usually get introvert, but depends on mood (and more on the stable side with Eysenck).
100% introvert and shy and lacking confidence as well! I don't panic when the phone rings - I panic when I have to make a phone call!! I have to work out exactly what I have to say and get the call over and done with as soon as possible.
Interesting. Despite being very shy and unconfident ( I have been known to duck out of social engagements or have to take a deep breath and steel myself) I seem to be slightly more of an extrovert- strange. However anything like "audience participation" brings me out in a sweat and I will makey excuse to avpid it!DH is def an introvert but Grace is very out-going, actually she needs to go out right now, so, back in a bit!
As a fully out acknowledged introvert, I said yes to most of the signs.
Why do you think I decided not to have a profile or Gransnet and am chary about meeting up, although that I may do now, because I am in contact with someone I know will be there.
I agree, ffinnochio, rather broad, but at least the article conveys the message that not all introverts are shy, retiring types who don't mix and just 'don't like crowds'. I found the points about needing a certain amount of time alone struck a note with me!
I didn't need to click the link, I'm very introverted and a bit Asperger's too. I wouldn't want to be out-going, imagine the horror of enjoying parties!
Always known I am an introvert. Glad to know the phone phobia isn't just me though. I panic when it rings and never answer unless it is a number I recognise. Sometimes not even then.
