We're not 'The Elderly'

I'm me!! I'm older than some and younger than some. There are older people than me who are fitter, healthier and more alert. There are younger people than me who are less fit, less healthier and less alert than me!!

I wish someone would tell me when 'elderly' begins!

Is it 55 as shown in advertisements for retirement properties?

Is it when we get our state pensions?

Is it at a certain age when we suddenly turn from being 'old' to being 'elderly'

I want to know!!!!

We're more than that - we deserve some respect.

Whether we're 'younger, older people' or 'older, older people' (as coined at this link and in more depth. http://www.generationboomer.co.uk/boomer-news/)
