Fancy writing a group limerick ?

At one line for each poster that makes 5 lines for each limerick and after I post this it will be 49 left. So we could get 9 more limericks and four comments. I think!

Otherwise it's just doggerel.

It can have extra unstressed (unemphasised) syllables next to the single unstressed ones, but a limerick does have a shape of its own. That is what it is.

(Like Ana, can I appeal to anyone who thinks they are posting lines for a limerick to read them out loud first. It should sound like this:-

There was a young la dy from Eal ing
Who walked upside down on the ceil ing
She fell on her neck
And mur mured "By heck
What a ve ry pe cul iar feel ing"

with the emphasis on the blacker syllables
