Who's still here, nearly 3 years on?

I've been here since May 2011 and although I pop in and read a few threads each day, I don't post very much. I still have my original name.

I will have 3 daughters and 3 grand-daughters!! Putting in an order now for the next one to be a boy. It's only fair .

I joined in May 2011, my first grandchild having been born in the April.
Same username, and not someone who has ever posted prolifically!
I've been the local editor for 2 areas for 15 months now and I do check in to the main forum every day.

Since joining GN, DD2 has produced another daughter, and DD3 is in labour right now(!!!) - and has been for 3 days! - with daughter #1. DD2 is her doula, which given the long labour has been tough on her family. Nanna-duties much in demand right now!

I did join Mumsnet, though this was after joining Gransnet, and I just couldn't get into the way of it. I recommended it to DD though, when she was having difficulties with teenage DGD.

I joined in May 2011 from Mumsnet . I used Mumsnet to find out how to look after babies when DD had her first child and I hadn't a clue how to answer her queries. Now it's for help in being a MIL and a gran. Sometimes I go back to Mumsnet to see what I'm missing. Too many FFS.

I am still here and with the same name which I brought with me from MN.

I couldnt wait for GN to start, I was waiting patiently over at Mumsnet waiting for the first day and won a fantastic prize down to London to the Jamie Oliver Feastiville, which funnily enough my DD won the same prize on MN so we had a great trip together.

Yes there are quite a few of original members still around, we had some great threads back then didnt we, and some fantastic meet ups.

I dont get chance to post very often these days and there are lots of new members that I have not had chance to get to know yet but plenty of time.

I've noticed that quite a few have said that they rarely post these days. Why is that, I wonder? In saying that, today I've posted more than I have in the last 6 months.

I think I joined about May or June 2011 and looking for myself I seem to have posted about 1800 times!!! Can't find the earliest ones though and I will admit to a name change since those early days <mysterious smile>.

Gransnet began on 5 May 2011. I joined in May that year and have posted as absentgrana or absent ever since.

May 2012, I log in everyday, but rarely post anymore.

I joined originally in April 2011 just after my DGD was born. My daughter told me about it as she was on Mumsnet. I changed my name after a bit of 'nastiness' and only post occasionally now. I do look at it every day usually more than once. Still enjoy it.

I joined July 2011 so just a couple of months down the line. I check in most days but don't often post especially if things are becoming heated!!

Me only about 2 yrs. When DD announced she was pregnant.

I've been here since 2011 too - can't remember when but I certainly remember the pantomime! Have kept the same name throughout.

I have enjoyed, and am enjoying GN immensely - can't imagine life without it. tanith has said it all.

I've been on it quite a hike though cant remember the actual date. I don't post regularly - more in fits and starts - but I've found it a very supportive and helpful group. Long may it continue!

The first post I can find for me is July 2011 and I have changed my name twice. The first because I took a break and then couldn't remember the name I had chosen, the second because I felt it would not be difficult for someone living locally to work out who I was if they were of a mind.

I also joined in May 2011 and have not changed my name in all the time I've been here,I saw the press release about a new forum and also on mumsnet so I thought I would come over to the grown up site,although some of the antic's we got up to in the early days where not very grown up but we did have a lot of really funny parties (didn't we Bikergran) I've made some really good friends here and always pop in when I can for a laugh or catch up on whatever topic's I find interesting.

I saw an ad in the Guardian and joined early June 2011 and still have the same user name. I post less these days and have missed not having a look on only about two days.

I loved the parties in the early days and remember the pantomime very well. They really were the days!
