Peeking above the horizon a great pyramid appears. Fab thinks Duffy I hear the vermin round this gaff are large and juicy. A bit of sightseeing will be good too.

Question from Duffy - didn't they worship cats in ancient Egypt? This is the place for me!

Right, dead right - they mummified them too. The cat goddess had the rather doubtful name of Bastet...

Suspicious of any possible benefits of having his brain scraped out through his nose and being left to decorate a Pharaoh's tomb, Duffy decided to give that experience a miss and went off to hide in find Xavier's stable.

'Alas and Alack quick turn' shouted Duffy and they were back on track. This adventure was turning out to be a bit more problematical than he thought it would be. Perhaps next year he would return to Greenwich and spend a pleasant few days on the Cutty Sark.

Bed and Breakfast sounded a good option, hope there are some decent stables for Xavier.

Bye Jove, thought Duffy, as the Cutty Sark came into view, this ship is not in the water. Perhaps its a flying ship. Let's go and find out.

Duffy and friends faced a dilemma now. Should they continue their adventurous world tour or return to the security of Greenwich? What will they decide?

Feeling unsure where to go next Duffy decided to take pot luck.
He blindfolded Sir G, turned him around three times, gave him his trusty sword and suggested that he stick it into the atlas. The sword tip went into .......?

Gibraltar. 'Anyone for a bit of monkey business' purred Duffy ?

How about dressing up as monkeys to fool them? If the soldiers could do it then so can we.

Instantaneously Duffy rejected this idea. He wasn't going to dress up as anything. He was quite proud of his own rather sleek fur and liked to show it off, especially to any female cat he met along the way.

On reflection he had seen a film about the monkeys in Gibraltar and realised that they were rather an unruly mob and as he already had rather an unruly mob with him now (Sir G and Xavier) so he would give the island a miss.

Japan! That should be far enough away from naughty monkeys. Wait a moment. Duffy had seen snow monkeys just the other day on the TV, bathing in thermal pools to warm up in the winter. That would be fun - if only Duffy didn't hate baths. Loved raw fish, though.
