How does anyone know if their posts have been ignored? Perhaps the posts have been read and appreciated but nothing said in return

If Person A says x,y, z and then two, three or four posts later Person B says exactly the same thing but it is the latter post that is acknowledged for the same content, I think it's fair to say that the initial post containing the same information has been ignored.

If I am agreeing with a poster's comments but I know that another poster has made the same comments, I will acknowledge both posters.

Because

a) I've been outside (to a playground) and it is decidedly cool out there.

and

b) I don't do cocktails (not alcoholic ones at any rate) which is just as well as I'm confused enough by this thread

Try the cocktails baubles - it might just be the answer! And you might get a little warmer too!!

It was too hot in the shops. I don't enjoy shopping much but it is DH's birthday soon and this is the first chance I have had to go. Why are so many people dragging small children around the shops on a sunny Bank holiday? Surely they could find something better to do with them?

Now I am having a nice - too early for alcohol!

There is nothing better than a cup of ordinary strong tea (with milk)
I can't face the day without one.

I may go and have another one while I cook.

Although DD1 made me a nice hot toddy of lemon, honey and hot water with cinnamon when I thought a cold was imminent. Recommended for any time!

Tea is the only drink to offer me comfort. A nice beer or G&T is good but its not soothing like a nice cup of tea. It's probably to do with the British rituals of tea drinking, but it really works for me.

You really shouldn't have mentioned cheese, Ana. Now I've got to eat a chunk, even though I've just got in from a meal out with the kids and am stuffed. This is why my size 14 jeans are getting tight. Too much cheese.
