I've watched our local Sainsburys, Falmouth, dump Sweet Williams in trays without water and offer them for sale. I have complained and been told by the Manager that they are delivered this way, as, apparently, are daffodils.
Couldthis explain why most if the in bud daffodils I purchased this year, failed to fully open. Indeed, the Sweet Willies in offer looked fit for a Graveyard refuse site.
To me this looks like a gross waste of good flowers and profits. Over to you.
