The locom GP phoned MacS as promised. The result of the biopsy indicate that he has Acute Lymphocytic Leukaemia. Samples of the biopsy now with Haematology. There will be treatment available to him. We just need to wait for further consultation with the Specialist. At long last we are beginning to have an answer to many questions.

I have calcific tendonitis in both shoulders and and steroid injections work a treat soop

annsixty The locom GP was most kind and attentive. He says that 10 days isn't too long to wait for such results. He has promised to phone when he has more news.

I'm on yet another course of antibiotics for UTI and am also to have a steroid injection in my shoulder. Have had awful pain since May...so time for a more positive approach.

The ferry is being buffeted as she crosses the Sound of Kintyre. It's probable that the service will be cancelled once the worst of the wind gathers momentum. I hope to return tomorrow (after the morning's ironing session for my pal). Until then, keep dry, warm and, most importantly, safe.

soop I feel for you so much in your waiting game it is awful for you,but I cannot understand why you would receive such news by letter. Here we would only be told the results of any biopsy from a Dr and while I realise that long distances are involved with you surely the Consultant can phone/ email your own GP.When a not so welcome diagnosis is given as in my case it is important to be told face to face what is going to happen next. I had a biopsy and was given an appointment to return a week later and at that appointment was told the result and that I was already booked in for surgery the following week.I sincerely hope your DH doesn't need it but he needs to know the next stage NOW.

Hello all - are you battening down the hatches apparently its only for one day and Wednesday will be batter according to Carol Kirkwood. I don't have anything interesting to say today except hope that you are all well and that good news is coming for soop and DH. My feet are freezing- please excuse them resting by the aga - they aren't the prettiest!!

Blustery indeed - my garden is full of dancing leaves and the hydrangea is almost bare overnight. Acorns all over the place and the trees are decidedly gold and brown. Soup time! I blitzed up root veg and left over roasties with chicken stock this morning and it tastes great. Help yourself when you come inside from the wind and rain.

soop i don't think you should beat yourselves up for fretting, it is perfectly understandable. Hope your doc is able to apply some pressure .

The wardrobe is installed, the doors slide perfectly, the drawers inside glide beautifully (apart from the one with the runner Hammonds failed to supply and who haven't rung back to sort it out) well done to DH. Now to spend that £200 he's saved

You're behind the times, Galen. Our local garden centre had Christmas well under way four weeks ago.

Went to get Kilmer jars from homebase yesterday. ( half price) the shop had its Christmas display and Waitrose had xmas cards on sale!

Hello from an even blusterier bonnie Kintyre. Tomorrow's forecast for the west coast isn't too promising. We can expect high winds that may uproot trees, disrupt the power supply and stop the ferry from doing it's job. There was nowt of significance in today's post. MacS has an appointment with the GP this afternoon. He's a good man, and may be able to jolly things along. Perhaps we are fretting unduly. After all, the biopsy was carried out just ten days ago. In the big scheme of things - taking into account long NHS waiting lists - we really do need to exercise more patience.

Nellie Oh dear! Christmas stuff and nonsense already in the shops. Bah and humbug and...norty unladylike words from the kitchen.

I have really noted Autumn coming on today.

On my way to the Garden Centre (one with a Lakeland Plastics) I noted swirling leaves, stupid pheasants with a death wish, several trailers of newly harvested fodder maize and the Garden centres Christmas grotty.

Plus 50% off all Herbaceous perennials.

Agus Aren't our beloved pets lucky to have us in attendance. Rory now knows the sound of the "treat packet" being moved. He can be in the garden, grooming himself with gusto, and still he recognises the crackle that it makes when handled. In he dashes and sits at my feet with a hopeful expression on his face.

rose MacS is rather partial to a delicious curry. He lived in Leicester for some years (studying architecture) and he must have sampled every curry house in the city.
