This thread is for you - and please do take a look around. We don't bite (but we do bake cupcake cupcake) x

Wonders into the room. Sorry im late was reading the random act of kindness on mn. Hello gransnetters. Is there room for one more x

Also. ...I'm wondering. ...how did it come about that you guys have a moon?

hildajenniJ Sat 11-Oct-14 08:08:56

Ahh, that would be because quite a lot of us are night owls. Just you wait for the menopause, you'll see.
Anyway, up at 03.00 to go to work, I occasionally have a look in to see if anyone else is around. You'd be suprised by the response. Back home at 07.30 after polishing my local Waitrose, put washing in the machine. Time now for breakfast and a cup of tea. See you later folks.

Good morning all and thanks to GN for welcoming us smile

JuniperTisane Sat 11-Oct-14 08:27:32

I like the colours and tone of Gransnet. I've worked out how to bookmark. Can I colour my posts?

This is a very nice place to spend the morning (on and off, Rugby in the rain first).

I might send my mum here. She would like it I think.

I need sunshine today.

BoredPanda Sat 11-Oct-14 08:33:32

Ooh, this is nice. Prefer the colour scheme. It's still moon here, this is very useful. Are we allowed to ask MNHQ to add steal it, when everything is back?

whenim64 Sat 11-Oct-14 08:34:11

Morning, Mumsnetters sunshine. Nice to have you around, even if it's just a short stay. Dive in and make yourself at home. No Werthers Originals or Victoria Sponges (unless you've brought them?) but we can soon make it homely. Quite a few of us are Mumsnetters, too.

Anyone fancy a coffee? Tea? Hang on, I'll have to get more cups - back in a bit.

hildajenniJ Sat 11-Oct-14 08:34:35

Your Mum would be very welcome, send her along Juniper. I've only been a member since March, but there are people here I count as friends, even though we've never met.

The more, the merrier.smile

whenim64 Sat 11-Oct-14 08:36:35

.....PS.....pets welcome! My dog would love some playmates smile

JuniperTisane Sat 11-Oct-14 08:37:13

Yes I can see a future for moon in all sorts of guises on MN. It should replace the [biscuit].

moon Its dark outside
moon Its that time of the month when MN goes batshit <howl>
You are talking rubbish so I am mooning you in response.

JuniperTisane Sat 11-Oct-14 08:37:50

Oops sorry for swearing. Apologies. blush

FruVikOla Sat 11-Oct-14 08:39:02

I don't think so Juniper.

I like the sunshine and moon too grin

Mycatpercy Sat 11-Oct-14 08:39:43

Good morning smile
Its nice here innit.

I can't wait to be a gran. Thank you for having us btw

cumberlover76 Sat 11-Oct-14 08:40:22

Hello, thanks for having us. I like it here too. Love the decor, in fact pink and green were my wedding colours. MIL would like the decor too.

Might tell my DM about here, I don't think she comes on and may enjoy it.

Any of my BCAS buddies around??

ChippingIn Sat 11-Oct-14 08:40:35

Morning smile

That was a mission, I thought I'd signed up before, but we must have been granted some special visitation rights or something because I had to register this morning. Laptop didn't want to comply, so 40 minutes later here I am. I wont tell you what I said, because we've been told we aren't allowed to swear here - just like going to visit Granny IRL grin

FruVikOla Sat 11-Oct-14 08:45:09

We have a few well known dogs on MN, whenim64; but I don't know whether their owners have found their way over here yet!

Thestarslookdown Sat 11-Oct-14 08:45:52

Sneaks in looking scared.

Old men in leggings?

Thanks for having us. [Best manners]

whenim64 Sat 11-Oct-14 08:50:21

Who said you aren't allowed to swear, Chipping? We probably don't swear quite as much as on MN, but sometimes a bit of effin' and blindin' is just what is needed grin

Lona Sat 11-Oct-14 08:55:02

Welcome MNetters sunshine, it's nice to have some wild young things on here for a change.
Help yourself to wine brew cupcake and make yourselves at home.

If you must swear, can you do it under your breath please wink

whenim64 Sat 11-Oct-14 08:56:15

This is beginning to feel like the chat I had with DIL the other day. She told me she tries to be on her best behaviour (but never quite manages it) when she's with me or her mum. That's lovely, but I love her as she is. We know each other well enough to be able to loosen our corsets and have a good gossip, so why don't you relax and do the same. Not that I'm assuming anyone wears corsets these days! grin

ChippingIn Sat 11-Oct-14 09:00:01

WhenIm64 - we were told by MNHQ 'NO swearing' a bit like your Mum reminding you of your manners before visiting Granny grin

Then look at Lona's comment smile

BoredPanda Sat 11-Oct-14 09:00:26

My mum and my gran would both enjoy it on here! I'll tell them about it, I think.

whohasnickedmyvodka Sat 11-Oct-14 09:00:38

ChippingIn Sat 11-Oct-14 09:03:01

The registration process must have frightened many MNers off - or they're still reading the 25 Threads (not MN's finest IMO - but hey ho). It's boring just reading them, I like the interaction. It's normally really busy on MN on a Saturday morning.

Right - need to go and interact with my coffee machine! smile Back in 5.
