My neighbour kept talking to me about his 'prostrate' problems - and a rally posh lady à la Mrs Bouquet kept telling me about taking her grand-daughter to the 'ménage' for horse-riding. At least your Hungarian man had a good excuse ;)
I will sometimes say to people 'sympathise your watches' Yes I know it is wrong, but I heard it once, and at amused me. I love to see peoples faces, they are not sure whether to correct me - because they know I quite like words - or just take it as it is. I would not say it amongst people I do not know, don't want to appear ignorant.

I have written before about my linguistically challenged friend, with her social leopard, house with panasonic views, her belief in mahogany, and glasses that make her look like Dave Haemorrhage .............
That is one of my stumbling blocks too, Bellanonna. I saw 'power for the course' somewhere earlier. Obviously not someone who plays/follows golf My MiL used to refer to the 'next phrase' of a building development.
