.... feel the need to clean the house before they go on holiday...?

Grannyknot Tue 13-Oct-15 14:38:44

Nope. As long as it is more or less straight, I'm out the door. What I will do is leave an empty laundry basket, ready for the onslaught on return.

We've discussed this before smile
I said at the time that it was pointless me cleaning before I go away as we have adult resident son !

Sorry, nina I must have forgotten - I should probably be on a different thread entirely!!! blush

Wasn't complaining, hence the smiley.
Just stating smilesmile

I think it's nice to have a clean and tidy house to come back to. It takes the edge off of the holiday being over. And you don't want to waste your newly renewed energy on having to do housework.

Although the floor just inside the door does always get dirty from DH going in and out with the bags.

I know that nina - smilewink

I have visitors the weekend we get back as well - to be fair it will be in a mess when they leave ....hmm

Charleygirl Tue 13-Oct-15 15:39:07

I always like to leave a clean house and like others, an empty laundry basket.

jogginggirl Tue 13-Oct-15 15:39:21

We're not going until Thursday jings and I'm encouraging DH to pack and get as much sorted as we can now so he doesn't mess up the floors again wink
I think I need a brew now

Luckygirl Tue 13-Oct-15 16:26:33

Absolutely not - heaven forfend - what a terrible waste of life! If it is a mess when I come back I am happy to let that wash by me.

FarNorth Tue 13-Oct-15 16:28:33

I like it to be clean when I get back.
Sometimes that happens and sometimes it doesn't. smile
