Does anyone else .....

I like it to be clean when I get back.
Sometimes that happens and sometimes it doesn't.

Absolutely not - heaven forfend - what a terrible waste of life! If it is a mess when I come back I am happy to let that wash by me.

We're not going until Thursday jings and I'm encouraging DH to pack and get as much sorted as we can now so he doesn't mess up the floors again

I always like to leave a clean house and like others, an empty laundry basket.

I have visitors the weekend we get back as well - to be fair it will be in a mess when they leave ....

Although the floor just inside the door does always get dirty from DH going in and out with the bags.

Sigh.

I think it's nice to have a clean and tidy house to come back to. It takes the edge off of the holiday being over. And you don't want to waste your newly renewed energy on having to do housework.

Wasn't complaining, hence the smiley.

I said at the time that it was pointless me cleaning before I go away as we have adult resident son !

Nope. As long as it is more or less straight, I'm out the door. What I will do is leave an empty laundry basket, ready for the onslaught on return.
