idly wondering what everyone else is eating. We are spag bol (from the freezer) and salad and then an apple crumble I found - at least I think it's an apple crumble...forgot to label it and have been caught out before

Went out for a fabulous curry with the family. Back home to France tomorrow!

Ham salad and bread and butter. I thought about having a packet of crisps, but resisted.

A croissant with honey and a banana ( easy to eat when throat is sore)

A chunk of local cheese ('Anster') and two slices of cheese and leek bread with (lots of) butter! Bought from Mellis's cheese shop in St Andrews this afternoon.
(Oh, and a large coffee/cream cake) blush

We always eat on Saturday evening as we did when we were both fit and able and would eat out or at friends or they would come to us.Tonight it was fillet steak (Aldi) saute potatoes and mushrooms. If M&S have Dine in for Two it will be something from that selection but always something special. We can't eat out but do like to make it different from a week night.

annsixty Sat 17-Oct-15 20:50:41

Forgot to add and a bottle of wine.

kittylester Sat 17-Oct-15 20:59:26

Griddled rib eye steak, real chips, roasted cherry tomatoes and battered onion rings. We have, sinced we had children, had a 'special' meal on Friday evenings. This week, because of football, Friday became Saturday!

Lamb chop, carrots, sweetcorn, beans, broccoli, celery and mushrooms. I need the vitamin C to get rid of my cold. I did not have the energy to do anything with potatoes.

grannyqueenie Sat 17-Oct-15 21:35:04

Steak ( the only thing my OH can cook!), salad and left over sauteed potatoes. Chocolate brownie and coffee for pud. Oh and the 1st glass of wine for over a week! grin

Cheese and biscuits-got some nice Wensleydale with ginger and mango today. Had lunch out so don't didn't really feel like much this evening.

DH had a takeaway curry but I have recently added curry to my list of 'Foods My Bloody Useless Inside Can't Cope With', so I instead had chicken and bacon with pasta and some garlic bread. And jolly tasty it was too smile

Fish fingers, chips, tinned tomatoes and frozen green beans. We are creatures of habit, we`ve been having fish fingers and chips on a Saturday ever since we married in 1963.

numberplease Sat 17-Oct-15 23:23:30

And it`s not dinner, it`s tea.

ninathenana Sun 18-Oct-15 11:40:46

My DH won't eat fish fingers. Apparently they're "children's food" smile

Today it's Sunday roast, which will be pork with fresh carrots and roasties. I don't do Yorkshire pud, too fattening! We don't have dessert.

kittylester Sun 18-Oct-15 11:51:28

Creamy chicken casserole - an old favourite and dead easy to do - as we have a houseful of family to feed. With roast potatoes, honey roasted carrots and tenderstem broccoli!

Teetime Sun 18-Oct-15 12:22:49

We are having a chicken cushion (2 breast stuffed with pork and bound into a cushion) that I bought at the Hollies Farm shop in Tarpoley Cheshire last weekend when staying with my daughter. We are a bit crook this weekend so its lots of green veg and I'm cheating with a few Aunt Bessie's roasties, plums from the freezer with a quick flapjack crumble on top and ice cream. Oh and an inadvisable amount of alcohol.

jinglbellsfrocks Sun 18-Oct-15 12:50:56

Roast dinner at the pub! Really hungry after yesterday's starvation diet. hmm
