I was watching a programme recently about operatic tenors and the presenter showed clips of the late Dietrich Fischer-Diskau. They were the same clips that I used to thrill to as an impressionable 16 year old. Almost unconsciously I found myself leaning towards the television absolutely drawn in, but whether, then as now, I was more beguiled by the voice or the looks I am not sure.

Barbera Streisand .Not a classic beauty but has that something. Doesn't ring my bell but just saying.
