Post Christmas shopping spree?

I bought a Précis dress and some Joules wellies in the sales today, they will last me for years. Knew what I wanted before I went shopping, did some research on-line for the dress. Would have bought any kind of wellies as I am in great need of them due to the endless rain. Thankfully no floods in my neighbourhood but everywhere soggy.

I receive 5, yes 5 Waterstones vouchers! Yes I love reading but can I read that many books? I wonder if Waterstones sell anything else. I'm going to have a look today.

I've thought about going to the sales but not done anything about it. Somehow I can't summon the energy to do battle with the crowds this year. Maybe next year

I braved Oxford Street and Regent Street yesterday. Hamleys was packed, couldn't move! Bought handbag, table cloth and an iron. Good bargains to be had.

Got new coat some gift sets for emergency pressies hubby got some trousers but they were not in sale don't feel shopped out have not done much hope all you venturing out today get some good bargains ???

I'm after a new mobile 'phone, as my present one is on its last legs. The choice is so bewildering - I have no idea where to start, so will have to ask my clever SiL, who knows all about such things.
I need new underwear too, so I shall have to see what M&S, or even 'Primani' are giving away in their sales.
It beats me how anyone has cash left after Crimbo - my bank account is a bit threadbare, but the grandbabies all had a lovely time, so I don't care one bit!

Online, a dress from Gudrun Sjoden which I've been admiring for a while, but couldn't justify buying at full price.

I bought a pair of black jeans in M&S for £6 so I'm happy!

Everyone was on the move at Gun Warf Quays shopping outlet in Portsmouth today. We went early in order to take visiting family to see the Victory. We had a sandwich and as we left there were queues of cars trying to get into the car park. The road in was chocka....lots of bored people I assume.
No shopping for me.........boring.

No shopping for me, Im too lazy, too skint and too scared of all the crowds, apart from food shopping Im staying in till after new year.

We need a new microwave, nothing to do with Christmas sales, the current one has become unsafe to use. We drove to the shopping centre in our local small town yesterday, saw the queue for the car park, turned round and came straight home. We are away next week so replacing it can wait until mid-January when the shopping frenzy dies down.

Generally I am uninterested in 'bargains'. Nowadays everything you buy any time of year is a reduced price or has a % off. I think most new goods come onto the market at a reduced price. I buy what I need when I need it. I save more money by not being an impulse buyer and not buying things I do not need than I ever can by wasting hours hunting down 'bargains'

We don`t buy Christmas presents for each other only buy for the Grandkids so I usually buy something nice for myself in the sales . I bought 3 tops which I had seen pre Christmas which were now in the sales and a wonderful dressing gown from M&S which I have on now . Sitting with laptop and coffee feeling quite contented and cosy .

Not normally a great shopper but have ordered two possible dresses for DD's June wedding from J Lewis. Will probably hate both but it's a start...

I'm a bit annoyed, as I bought some wide leg comfy trousers from M & S at half price about 2/3 weeks before Christmas, plus several tops at one third off, but were too big. I loved the trousers and want to buy more, but they're now up to full price. I suppose I'll have to wait until the "sale" is over and hope another offer comes along. They usually do with M & S !

Not exactly a "spree" (hate shopping anyway), but OH has been whinging for years that he can't use his stairlift because of all the coats in the hallway. Needless to say, they're all mine, but am sick of all of them. The rain soaks through the raincoats, none of which have hoods; the winter coat is really old and ugly, the leather jacket and the black gaberdine which I use for funerals are the only two I would keep, the former against my veggie principles. So treated myself to a good water-and-windproof parka, mainly because Very is threatening to close my account since I haven't used it for about a year! So kills two birds with one stone and I can go out tomorrow to deliver my papers and come home not soaked through for a change! And son can take all the old coats to the charity shop on Saturday, so we can all feel virtuous!

I have had one but not of my choosing. Our dishwasher failed on the 27th of December just before my DD and family arrived for our Christmas dinner.

Our electric kettle then failed on the 29th Dec and I still need to replace the small pyrex mixing bowl I broke two weeks before Christmas.
There seem to be no mixing bowls of the right size in any South Cheshire shops at present.

I have just paid the deposit on my June holiday.
Something to cheer me up.

In Tesco this morning and made a start on the Christmas shopping! I got festive PJs for my sister, reduced in the sale. I hope I can remember where they are in eleven months time. I managed to resist the hot cross buns they had on display.

Can't face the shop crowds in Reading, so went on line and ordered three pairs of shoes, yes three, oh my, and two pairs of wide leg trousers, all from John Lewis and will be able to pick them up from Waitrose on Saturday afternoon. Oh joy. Now just hope they fit.
