Is it me, or does anyone know what you're supposed to do with your 'Sparks'?? I had an email encouraging me to log on and see what my current 'offers' are ...... Errrrrrrr?? 20% off sarnies (which I never buy) and other lickle bits off of foodie stuff which again I never buy, or a preview of stock coming in. Unless it's me, I can't see the point of this particular loyalty card.

I find it a total waste of space and try to ignore it. To find out about the offers you seem to go round in circles. And now they're stopping the green card in the cafe. Everyone was moaning about it last time I went in.

Actually made use of it today! Browsed the sale preview and although most stuff was dire, I found a cardigan I had liked but wouldn't pay £50 for at half price - picking it up tomorrow.

Most of the time I find it pointless and forget to produce it, but did respond to the sales preview email today and bought, like you Pittcity a long cardigan, for £22 half price a nice party dress for granddaughter and a couple of tops for grandson, again all half price

Sometimes I find there are so-called "special" offers which then arrive in the post for all credit-card holders, so we're not special after all! Sob! I wish, like so many others, that it was a simple card for cash points system - the one at Boots works beautifully, I still receive some special offers and the points mount up quickly. Why not M & S?

I agree - Sparks is basically a big con!!!

Never used the offers and every time I am asked for my card I tell the till person so. I will say they often look uneasy.

20% off sandwiches and chocolate this week. Might make use of this.

I've been working away this week, so not checking my e-mails. However, I've bought sandwiches in M&S twice and never saw any signs saying 20% off with sparks card (not saying there weren't any, but if there were they weren't very prominent) and was never asked if I had a card. Like everyone else, I have a card, but have no idea what it's for, am never asked for it and rarely remember to offer it!

You have to sign in to your account and activate the offer on your card KT You should get an email on a Thursday telling you what this week's offers are. They don't make it easy.
Purely an information gathering exercise.

I'm still waiting for an offer I can use. hmm How are you supposed to remember what the latest offer is, anyway? My brain's a sieve nowadays at the best of times!

I think the Sparks Card is a complete waste of time. I opted for an offer on bath mats only to be told that the offer had not registered -and that another customer that day had experienced the same thing.
Most of the offers are on things I never buy anyway . Bring back the free coffee card I say and then there would be some small benefit eventually!

I have just shocked and M & S assistant who asked me for my Sparks card by telling her I had thrown it away. 'Oh you shouldn't do that' she said 'you need to build up your points and choose your offer when its e-mailed to you'. I explained I found it all too complicated and ill times so she 'sweethearted me'. Grrrrr!!!

It worked - I got 49p off my tuna roll!!

I don't use mine. Checkout staff always ask, and I always say I can't be bothered since it doesn't confer any benefits I'd be interested in.

I use my Boots card all the time, and the Nectar a fair bit.
The John Lewis card is another I CBA with. It used at least to give you 2 free tea/coffee and cake once a month. I only go shopping with dh once in a blue moon so would use it to meet and treat a friend.
The stingy Bs have now reduced that to one.
Again, I tell checkout staff when they ask that I can't be bothered with it, much as I do like JL in general. I have more than enough cards to cram into my purse anyway, TBH.

Might have already posted on this but do wish M&S would change this card. I have one, do not use it, cannot be bothered with all this 'fannying about' that's necessary....what's wrong with the good old Boots reward system or the Nectar one? so much better, easier and productive.

Sparks card email special offers when you reach a certain level of points. I got several of these through the other day, decided to take advantage of a 20% off dresses offer and ordered two shirt type dresses for the summer, if it ever arrives. £25 each making a total of £50 - discount £5 confused even with my very ordinary arithmetic, a 20% discount would be £10 surely.
