Further duvet ponderings

I have a 'flat' polyester duvet and have cut it up and sewn around each piece to make a mattress for DS2's dog. They are small enough to be washed in the machine and three of them in an outer cover will make her very comfy in her crate/bedroom.
I can't say whether a flat duvet is warm or not but at least old ones can be reused.

Especially when wakened by a cat at 5am daily. She has a litter tray- she only wants to explore the great outdoors- she can but not at that hour- I need my beauty sleep- I know I would never get up!

Especially when you're dying for a wee!

Staying under the duvet is appealing any day!

Why is staying under the duvet on the day you have to get up early so appealing?

Time to buy a new one.

Can you ruin the tog-ness of feather duvets by lying on top of them, rather than getting inside. Do feathers break?

Will go and ask Mr Google instead......
