I would take the 'perfume' out of Elnett hairspray. .....

Isn't it the case though that the active ingredients in a lot of products have an unpleasant odour of their own, so perfume is added as a mask? I always used to know when a previous neighbour had her laundry outside, I could smell it. In many cases it is better not to use the product in the first place. I like a bit of movement in my hair so never use hairspray.

I don't like perfumed deodorants they usually smell quite awful and would be dreadful with any other perfumes you might want to wear.

Quite often you have to go a bit out of your way to get the unperfumed varieties.

I detest these highly Perfumed washing powders as well.
I have had some bad experiences with allergic rhinitis due to using a perfumed shake and vac type carpet product. Then I had years of sneezing, my nose rapidly blocking and then really streaming like a tap. It's OK now but it was very unpleasant.

I tried that anno and if anybody would like a large can for free they are welcome to it, I found it made my hair lank and claggy within a very few hours angry

The smell of Elnett seems to me to dissipate quite quickly. Their new peoduct, with Argan oil doesn't smell as strongly.

If you could just peel Pineapples instead of having to dissect them they would be my favourite fruit smile

I always use Elnett, never noticed the smell.

A recent report on pollution highlighted the harm caused by household sprays, perfumed candles etc, all those artificial smells are very harmful when inhaled.
My pet hate is the nappy bags I use for dog poo, they smell awful.
Worst packaging now is the bleach lid. I have to rip it apart before I can use the stuff. Yes, I know bleach is environmentally evil, I only use it occasionally.

I like the smell!

I`d put Sherbert Fountains back into their original cardboard tubes wrapped in paper. The new tubes sealed in cellophane with a plastic top are practically impossible to open, unless you hve the strength of Samson! And yes, I know it`s very juvenile to like Sherbert Fountains!

Hi Jane and Lona, it is vile but it is the best hairspray, it just brushes out. Why do manufacturers think adding perfume is a good thing? I can't stand perfumed lipstick either and it's just not necessary.

Lona Wed 02-Mar-16 15:40:21

If my phone and tablet never needed charging, then they'd be perfect!

Lona Wed 02-Mar-16 15:35:03

Me too, it's vile!

janeainsworth Wed 02-Mar-16 15:33:21

Yes, stopped using Elnett because of the smell!

NannyJanny53 Wed 02-Mar-16 15:24:49

what one thing would you change to make a product perfect?
