It's now on its second day of incessant chirping/squawking right outside our bedroom window! It started at first light yesterday and was still going strong at 1pm when we went out. Been at it again since dawn today. We spotted it sitting on the corner of the roof with a worm in its beak -still shouting! I presume it has a nest nearby but how the poor thing hasn't squawked itself hoarse or had a coronary I don't know! Double glazing is no protection either,

to you gillyknits What a lovely lady you are for looking after the surviving bat-let. I hope that Bartie is amongst the bats that fly around your home at dusk.
