Handsome men.

As an elderly person, I think Cary Grant, Robert Mitchum, and Gregory Peck would be described as handsome, but can't get enthusiastic about any of today's " stars".
Brad Pitt does nothing for me, ditto Johnny Depp .
Thoughts?

Paul Newman I could gaze at for hours; Terence Stamp was possibly the best looking man of the sixties. 'Have to say Brad Pitt looks podgy and sulky - not a real turn on. Benedict Cumberbatch does absolutely nothing for me - but Rufus Sewell; well - that's my kinda man. Well - as Lord Melbourne he certainly is.

I agree re John Bon Jovi. The was on The One Show last week, he is lovely smile

I've seen mentions of lots of " attractive" men, but not all are what I'd call handsome!
I'd forgotten Richard Chamberlain, who was very handsome back in the day, as were Steve McQueen and Sidney Poitier.

Martin Shaw, Gordon Ramsay, Alan Rickman, and Sam Neill have all rung my bell in recent years!

KatyK Mon 26-Sept-16 14:50:52

Not forgetting Cillian Murphy!

Paul Newman is/was the most beautiful person ever to have lived, in my opinion.

Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Jonny Depp, not for me.

Jeff Bridges, Geoff Goldblum, Keanu Reeves, Tom Selleck, Javier Bardem, Ricardo Darín, all gorge.

Really? I think Matt Damon is plain.

Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp are my favourites. Can't see the attraction with Daniel Craig. Quite ugly. Robert Mitchum had charisma, but rather slitty eyes. Young Sean Connery had charisma and looks. The best Bond.

Marti Pellow is gorgeous but my old 6ft blue eyed scaffolder is even better.

Peaseblossom Mon 26-Sept-16 15:21:45

Richard Burton didn't
do a thing for me. Bad skin and not attractive, apart from his voice.

poppycat1 Mon 26-Sept-16 15:22:50

James Mason was my all time favourite. Not just his face but his voice.

Peaseblossom Mon 26-Sept-16 15:23:23

God yes! Terence Stamp! Rufus Sewell too. ?

Peaseblossom Mon 26-Sept-16 15:26:01

Jeff Goldblum when younger maybe. Xavier Bardem and Ricardo Darin definitely not. I think they're ugly. I've always been keen on Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp.

I've long had a thing for Bryan Brown. Remember him in The Thornbird? Richard Chamberlain was just too perfect in the looks department, but Bryan Brown - ahhh.
What about Art Malik too. He was in The Jewel in the Crown and is now in Cold Feet. Still very attractive. He has also been in a delightful film called Dean Spanley - with Bryan Brown. Oh my!

BlueBelle Mon 26-Sept-16 16:11:04

Old days Elvis, Yul(drool)Brynner, Sidney Poitier, Marlon Brando
Later Steve McQueen, Paul Newman, David Essex, Morgan Freeman
Now Idris Elba, I find Paul Martin of Flog it very lovely, Lemn Sissay

Tegan Mon 26-Sept-16 16:23:45

I forgot about Sam Neill.

If I was a teenager today, my ideal man would be the very handsome (imo) Chai Romruen. He is the star of an Australian TV show, Mako Mermaids. Introduced to me by my granddaughter.
Johnny Depp is the man for me at present, but my husband comes a close second.?

Spangles1963 Mon 26-Sept-16 16:40:12

None of the so called 'Hollywood Heart throbs' do it for me. But I do think Sean Pertwee is quite tasty.

Spangles1963 Mon 26-Sept-16 16:41:21

Nearly forgot,Rufus Sewell is lovely too.

bobbydog24 Mon 26-Sept-16 16:53:58

I think Yannick Bisson (inspector Murdock) and Michael Weatherley (NCIS) are handsome and very likeable. What my dad used to call real men. Johnny Depp, Tom Hiddleston, too puny and tormented. I don't know what all fuss is about David Beckham either.

Lindajoy Mon 26-Sept-16 17:02:43

Aidan Turner or David Gandy for me!

charliebb Mon 26-Sept-16 17:04:33

Month Don for me, good looking, intelligent, well spoken and charming, he has it all!

joannewton46 Mon 26-Sept-16 17:10:15

Yul Brynner and Rufus Sewell - sex on legs!!!

clareken Mon 26-Sept-16 17:10:52

George Clooney yes, I agree about Rock Hudson and Howard Keel (maybe I also wanted to be Doris Day) and on that note James Garner. Pierce Brosnan yum, but Daniel Craig def no.

wiccibat Mon 26-Sept-16 17:12:35

Donny Osmond, Antonio Banderas, Bruce Dickinson, Marco Hietala, Sidney Potier, Brendan Fraser & Jack Black. They can all come round for tea!

Pandi Mon 26-Sept-16 17:16:26

Mark Harmon, Idris Elba and Andy Sturgeon.
