We have a good idea of what we think it is - a networking site providing support, entertainment and information. But it would be really interesting and useful for us to know what the site represents to you, the ones who use it every day.

The username is a clue to my mind, hey but what a mouthful, I'm not typing that every time smile.

STTT, we know who you are ... probably grin

Ana Fri 28-Oct-16 19:25:48

Speak for yourself Wobblybits...

Wobblybits Fri 28-Oct-16 19:27:57

Ana ????

merlotgran Fri 28-Oct-16 19:33:17

hmm

Ana Fri 28-Oct-16 19:35:39

Wobbly, I just meant that not all of us are as convinced as you are by STTT's former identity smile

Ana Fri 28-Oct-16 19:36:48

(that should have been 'about' not 'by'!)

Stilltellingthetruth Fri 28-Oct-16 19:37:18

One clue. Ana, Merlot and Pomps, you guys are great. Xx I am not Jings .

Wobblybits Fri 28-Oct-16 19:37:21

No, but a bit of intrigue lives things up. grin

Anniebach Fri 28-Oct-16 19:37:57

Wish they would correct my spelling errors , suppose it would take too long

Wobblybits Fri 28-Oct-16 19:41:13

OK, Jings might keep mm, but she wouldn't deny her identity, so who is it she/he ?? I love a mystery. Must be someone that knew me before WB and knew Merlot, Jings etc.

merlotgran Fri 28-Oct-16 19:43:06

jingl wouldn't call herself jings for a start.

I have a small hunch.

Ana Fri 28-Oct-16 19:44:57

Neither would jingl call us 'guys' grin

Wobblybits Fri 28-Oct-16 19:46:22

Who has been banned recently other than Jing ? -- or is this a Troll out to drive us nuts.

Stilltellingthetruth Fri 28-Oct-16 19:48:21

No way do I want to create a mystery, but late on a Friday night does give us a chance to remember and question.. ?

I am not Jings, but she was so inventive, twisted and funny that I adored her. Then GN reporters wanted it their way.. and they got it.

Lets tell the pearl brigade that we have opinions and should be allowed to voice them.

DaphneBroon Fri 28-Oct-16 19:56:00

It's 5 to 8 from where I am sitting. Are you abroad stilltellingthetruth? (Hardly late on a Friday night hmm )
However if we ARE still on the topic of what GN "means to us" perhaps those of us who remember lively intellectual debate, talent d poetry, some often bad jokes, not suffering fools gladly but offering wise counsel, support and genuine friendship, might care to pause a moment and remember greatnan who went missing 3 years ago this weekend. sad

Wobblybits Fri 28-Oct-16 19:56:08

Trouble with me is that I have the memory of a goldfish, these clues are passing me by.

Stilltellingthetruth Fri 28-Oct-16 19:57:41

They will shoot me in the head for even exposing this. Howevever, Anya is another good GNetter. Xx They do edit, delete and ban people who don't use a proxy.

Wobblybits Fri 28-Oct-16 19:58:14

Blimey DB, how do you remember that ??? I have enough trouble knowing that it's Friday, starting to worry about myself, I hope it's down to all the pills I'm taking atm.

Ana Fri 28-Oct-16 20:01:07

'people who don't use a proxy' - whatever does that mean? thlconfused

glassortwo Fri 28-Oct-16 20:01:15

What does Gransnet mean to us Lara... well to some Gransnet is a lifeline.

They use this forum as someone to reach out to, have a chat, have a moan, have a gripe about things they maybe cant say to family.

Voice their feelings in a safe environment. Things they feel strongly about!

To others its just a excuse to hound a person and find every excuse to report for the slightest thing, until GNHQ ban that person. angry

Stilltellingthetruth Fri 28-Oct-16 20:01:16

Daphne, before I go, I have never come across such a nosey ExScot as you. You have scurried into the kitchen, and probably the church of Gransnet, and made the most nasty comments I have ever heard on a forum.

Wobblybits Fri 28-Oct-16 20:01:47

Hmm, did I accidentally hit on something with goldfish?

DaphneBroon Fri 28-Oct-16 20:07:02

How could I forget Wobblybits?

DaphneBroon Fri 28-Oct-16 20:08:16

Stilltellingitlikeitisn't
You may think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
PS I am not an ex-Scot as you so charmingly put it.

Stilltellingthetruth Fri 28-Oct-16 20:15:16

Why did you put your oar in at the Edinburgh meet? Then you flounced off. I am not a goldfish grin.
