Pleased your mum is a bit perkier today.

Some mothers and their sons who can do no wrong!

My mum still refers to my brothers as "her lovely boys" and I get "fetch me this and fetch me that". Perhaps a case of the more you do the less you're appreciated.

Ah well! nothing's going to change her now.

My MIL was a love, but she used to say "you need to take care of your daughters, your sons can take care of themselves", I often felt like saying they`d got husbands to look after them! Your mum sounds like a character Kitty, you are a most patient daughter.

Your mum sounds like a real 'creaking gate' kitty smile

Kittylester What keeps her going? She sounds a really tough cookie. The expression "It's being so awkward as keeps me/her going" comes to mind.

My mum was the same about boys. The highest compliment she could pay a girl was to say, 'She's a bit of a lad' hmm

Glad you had a good visit, kitty.

Good that you can grin about it. I hope that continues.

Mum is eating and drinking much better and was quite lucid and chatty.

She seemed to be in a reflective mood and told me that you should always love your children the same.......especially the boys! grin
