My sister wrote me an email complaining about her daughter's head teacher, and by mistake sent it to........... you can probably guess who! The only lining to the cloud was that she felt it was righteous indignation she had expressed

Talking to a colleague in e mail stream, I once said ;Richard must think we are both idiots to fall for his sold tricks'.....copied him in of course........

I received a text at a conference from a lesbian colleague about how much she loves me and then some (it was a 2 day conference and we were all staying overnight). Much wine had been consumed that evening I panicked (her room was across the corridor from mine) until I remembered that her partner's name starts with the same letter as mine... .

She was extremely embarrassed and apologetic at breakfast the next morning.

I once sent a highly sarcastic note to my DH about my stroppy sister - and sent it to her. Well, I thought I had but it turned out I had not. I had sent it by pressing 'reply' to him rather than 'forward' to her so the comment only reached the DH.

Unfortunately I had already sent a mollifying comment to the DS which completely mystified her and alerted her to my misdeed.

Serves me right. I have learned nothing though about being less sarcastic, I am only a little more careful about my addressees.

l once sent a text to a work colleague who had the same first name as my partner.

I sent a text to a friend about a guy I was dithering about. I really liked him but had been single for a while and questioned his motives.
I sent it to him!!! Sooooo embarrassed! I did have a brief relationship with him but my instincts were right!
I sent a text to my (then) partner saying good morning, love you, in fact I'd sent it to my boss ? who thought it was hilarious ?

I once accidentally sent a picture of a man I liked to my entire mailing list. Oooops! Fortunately, he wasn't identifiable, and many of them couldn't open it because it was too large.

My daughter once sent me an email complaining about her awful boss. I sent a reply saying "what a horrible woman". It went straight to my daughters boss because she had forwarded her email to me! Thank goodness I didn't say anything worse! Now I always make a new email if I'm going to pass comment! The horrible woman let her keep her job! Lol

I got a business one meant for another client where the web designer was charging them less for work similar to our shop's... he had to back down and give my boss the same deal. YAY!

I suddenly noticed that my DS Headmaster kept smiling at me and stopping to talk to me when I was in the school (PTA duties) and it was only when I had to speak to him on a totally different subject, he confessed how flattered he'd been to receive my cheeky get well card when he was off recently! I don't know what was more shocking - the fact he thought it was from me OR he seemed interested! I then had to tell him it absolutely was not from me and it was then his turn to be embarrassed. He was so embarrassed and couldn't apologise enough that we both got the giggles to such an extent his secretary came in to see if we were alright. For days afterwards I kept bursting into laughter at the most inconvenient times, and even now I can feel my cheeks getting red, and I didn't even do anything.

I was mortified and worried I had given the wrong impression when I put kisses at the end of a text to the window cleaner so I sent another apologising for said kisses. I made sure I was out when he called round next
