Best buy/Never buy

Airhead that I am, the best thing (s) I have bought recently is a pair of earrings - long, red and glittery. They make me feel very avant-garde. And because they came from TKMaxx, they didn't cost the earth.
I never buy bottled water.....tap water good enough for me.

I am very impressed by all you good cooks ans housewives! When I read I read Best Buy, I immediately thought of clothes! How frivolous of me!

I've just looked at the herb keeper and could definitely do with one as the pots either dry out or they are over watered. I've got one of the choppers gillybob - fantastic gadget although the blades are incredibly sharp so I'm very wary of them! My best buy this week has to be the card reader which I've bought to take the data off my failed hard drive - stuck the drive in last night and there it all is ready for me to retrieve

This is one of the best little gadgets ever. I bought it after seeing the Hairy Bikers using it on TV.

Basically you pop the onion, carrot, herbs, nuts or whatever inside and pull the string. No electricity needed. The more you pull the string the finer the chopping. I use mine almost every day. It's amazing.

My best buy was my Kitchen Aid Classic. I've had it for nearly 30 years and it cost an arm and a leg then, but has paid for itself over and over. I would never buy packet soup or cake mixes, just as cheap and quick to make my own.

I would never buy bottled water. There is nothing wrong with what comes out of the tap!

I love those scented thingies to Jane and have them all over the place though I tend to buy them when they are on offer.

petra I'm hopeless with small amounts of leftovers in the freezer. Things disappear for ever in there. On the window sill, the herbs are there under my eye.

My most recent best buy was a scented room thingy with wooden rods sticking out. Sorry can't think of proper name for it. I got it from John Lewis. It seemed expensive to me but has filled the house with the most delicious and natural smell of fresh flowers. It just makes me feel good every time I come home. £20+ well spent (but still seems wickedly extravagant to me).
Can't think of an actual worst buy.

That'll be it, Jane. It's a brilliant thing. We've got mint in the garden but it seems to have come to the end of its useful life. The leaves are tiny and pathetic.

I think my best buy recently has been a very small whisk for frothing the milk in my coffee. Cheaper than a coffee machine!
