My provider is Plusnet and I'm paying about £35 per month for unlimited internet and telephone calls which are free from 7pm to 7am.
This seems an awful lot as I never phone in the daytime if I can possibly help, which is very inconvenient.
How does this compare with yours? Is it worth changing provider and if so, did your change go through without any problems?

water ours is linked in with our television package (Sky) so sorry I can't help. All I know is that we seem to pay a small fortune because we have to have Sky Sports.

I also think that no matter what "great deal" is offered when you first sign up, in no time at all the monthly charge goes up anyway.

Aargh! Just checked our BT bill. Line rental and Fibre optic broadband is £54 a month. However with add ons such as evening calls and Friends and families overseas, plus some calls made in the daytime, I paid £69 this month. That is ridiculous! Makes your Plusnet look a real bargain Watermeadow. ?
I suggest you do what I am about to do and try Money Saving Expert who do a cheap broadband section.

I'm with Virgin Media and have good broadband speed, plus free phone calls to any land line numbers from 7 o'clock Friday night to 7 o'clock Monday morning. This suits me fine because I'm out at work during the week and so use my mobile then anyway. I pay £27.50 a month, set price for 2 years. Don't bother with t.v. at all so never signed up for that.

I am with Plusnet also and I have a bargain with them. I pay on average £15 a month, this month it is £20 because of the mobile numbers I have been ringing. I have "free" landlines 24/7 for an hour each call. Unlimited broadband also.

Have a look at what Plusnet has to offer and you may see that you could get a deal as good as mine especially if you say that you are thinking of changing. I have been with Plusnet I think for over 5 years now.

I am with BT and my monthly bill is averaging £70 . I rang them this week to query this and got the reply that this is an average cost. I only changed to get BT sport for £7:50 instead of a much higher charge. I am tied in until September. I told them I will be leaving then. They offered me £1:50 reduction for caller number. Big deal.

We are with virgin. TV with extra BT sport channel. Line rental which we never use except to phone them. Unlimited broadband £42 per month.
I almost feel sorry for the person my OH is 'negotiating' with when they put the bill up.
One thing to do is not to have a rolling contract. When your contract ends tell them you want to cancel that one and start again as a new customer. Tell them what you want, don't ask them what they have on offer.
