I was 13, a gawky looking, unhappy kid. My father had died four years previously and my mother had met a chap in Malta and spent a lot of time visiting whilst I was palmed off on friends.
Both my beloved sisters had left home, one to teach in London and the other to university, so I felt somewhat abandoned.
Mother stayed with her new chap for thirty years and I grew to be very fond of him. I also met my DH on one of my visits to Malta to see mum.
The eighties/nineties were my happiest times and I treasure the memories.

one afternoon to try to see them, George (my favourite) spoke to us that day, winning a competition to sit behind them on stage. Also going to see many other bands of the day live - Rolling Stones, Kinks and more. Happy days
