Thank you for your kindly comments. Just one further mega-bore...the photo of the new-born Edward John and a proud Dad taking him home.
Wrong side driving social media stunt
So Harry and family are coming back!
Rupert Lowe and the “rowers” haha
Well, the sale went through and we now own this new bar,
Isn’t it wonderful?
So clean and shiny ( that won’t last!)
Come on in, have a drink and tell the tale of what you have been up to.
All the old staff are here, in the cellar checking the stock, but will be up here shortly to take your orders.???

Aaaah. What can I say? Love ? just gorgeous!
I love those names soop; good, strong, traditional names that have gravitas. Full approval from here!
Ahh! Chewbacca and Bella thank you for your kind comments. Here, have a sticky bun or two. Calorie-free and all that nonsense...
Sorry, Soop,
I've not congratulated you yet, I'm a bit chesty at present). Some might say in more ways than one and have been out of commission.
It's lovely news.
Mdoll.?.
Marydoll Thank you. Look after that chest of yours. I was beginning to wonder where you were. Stay warm and get well soon. x.
Surely we should be thinking of wetting the baby's head in true Argy fashion? The poteen is well and truly off but I can put together another cocktail right now and even call it The Ed, what shall we put in it?
Why don't we have a "Wet the baby's head" party?
Marvellous idea Mary doll, the weekend is upon us and we need an excuse, get Soop and her lot along for a toast to The Ed
No offence Soop calling it The Ed, total respect just fun, tell me if you don't approve
Now I'm supposed to be going to a wedding tomorrow deep in the snowdrifts. ❄❄❄Half the guests are stranded in London, my darling toddler GD the flower girl, is too ill to go, ? my "chest" is even more troublesome and I may decide to run away before it. That is if we can dig ourselves out of the snow first ???.
I may be a trifle late for the party, so please set up a very stiff drink for me,?????? I will certainly need it!
Hopefully, I shall return!
I haven't been in for ages but can I just slump in a corner with a Gin and my favourite tonic please?
Drifting snow outside, it seemed lovely at first but perhaps I'm getting cabin fever.
Just a quiet, peaceful corner will do. Thanks.
We have several peaceful corners Jalima but just check them out first because never know who might be slumped in them, Mary hope goes ok but will set up large drambuie for your return
Phew! Just stumbled through the snow to get here, am exhausted.Anyone got a towel, my feet are soaking and my gold glitter sandals are ruined!
A large brandy please Meno ?
Congratulations and jubilations Soop hope baby Edward is doing well.??
I have been indoors since Monday so I thought that I would pop in and get some order in that cafe. I would prefer a decent coffee but I ma well aware that the AA is now overrun with so many of you ladies.
soop informed us laydees at her caff that the baby is going to be called Teddy by his parents. He is so gorgeous I could easily take him home for an hour or two until he needed a feed or the air was a tad rank.
soop could always bring Teddy in here Charleygirl, even if his nappy needed changing, we wouldn't notice it in here because the air is often rank! Especially when Jason the Alsation has been at the prunes again.
lemon, whatever are you doing coming out in gold glitter sandals in this weather? You're supposed to be keeping those for when you do you Fan Dance on a Saturday night. You'd better change into those flip flops that Hairy Mary from The Sailors Retreat left last Saturday night. They're size 9, so should fit you ok.
Thanks for the tip Chewbacca- I really thought that my backless slippers which are falling apart would be okay in this weather. I do think it is a good job that I am way beyond wearing heels of any sort. Comfort before beauty these days.
I like your sense of fun. I've left a bottle of something special. A tipple or two will warm the cockles of your heart.
A bottle of SMA baby milk soop? When you said you were leavinga
Drat!
A bottle of SMA baby milk soop? When you said you were leaving a bottle of "^something special^", we thought it was a bottle of Dom Perignon or Moet! Oh well, we'll put it in the glory hole under the stairs until Teddy is old enough to come in and drink with us.
Should have gone to Specsavers. Here, have a gulp of Bishops Brew...don't blame me if you can't stand up straight for the remainder of the weekend. Read the label carefully...it's potent stuff.
*Bishops Brew? never heard of it- I only drink coffee so is it an exotic type of coffee?
Coffee is all that I could offer Teddy- he would want his weaker and not as hot as mine. I am not sure what I would do about solids because I do not suppose he is quite up to a chicken curry- his taste buds will be for blander food and I doubt if he has any teeth yet.
soop I promise that he will not be offered any poteen.
No! I read the label all wrong. It's Bishops Bloomers. Teddy has been awake most of the night. He's at his own "welcome to the world" party. Guess what? Yep...he's fast asleep. Party pooper extraordinaire.
Have any of you ever tasted SMA baby milk?
Even DD refused it when she was a baby!
I should have tried her on Bishops Bloomers instead
Now that I have found my sturdy boots (put them in the loft in 1957 and forgot about them) of course the snow has all gone! A mild rainy day here, so I can trot out in my crocodile high heels and matching bag and very little else.
True story....... I was waltzing through the outback in Oz ( as one does) when we came to a shady pool, so we had our picnic there.Me and Big Bruce fancied a dip, so we stripped off and in we went with a splash! We were frolicking merrily and Bruce was getting a bit romantic, when an old croc the size of godzilla hove to , he had been hiding on a rocky shelf in the pool and the three of us had a right old set to.
We got him in the end though Bruce lost a hand and I lost my bangles, and we heaved him out onto the bank. The locals were very grateful as that croc had been a terror for them, and as a reward, they made me a pair of highheeled
shoes, a bag and a hat, and for Bruce a handsome jacket.
Bruce is long gone sadly ( he went off with a barmaid from Perth) but I like to wear my croccy things to remind me of him.Sniff!
Anyone else got a strange but true story to share?
