Would you let your 25 year-old son see you naked?

I realise this is a slightly odd question but it has not come from nowhere but because Birds of A Feather Star Linda Robson said yesterday that she lets her son so he can see what real women look like. While I applaud the idea of the normalisation of women rather than the airbrushed celebrity look that is pushed in the media, I can't help thinking this is rather distasteful. Am I wrong? www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/linda-robson-lets-25-year-11721558

I’ll leave well alone

Prudish? No.
Concerned for others comfort? Yes.
So no, we don’t walk round in the nude in front of family, except each other.
Apart from anything else, it’s often too cold ^if you’re resisting putting the heating on!^😁

I haven’t got a son, but no, I wouldn’t. I don’t inflict my ageing birthday suit on my DDs or anybody else, that’s why I use the cubicles, not the communal changing area, at my David Lloyd.

I don't like anyone seeing my naked body! My sons never saw either my husband or me naked.

No, I wouldn’t, although I’m aware that I am more private than my parents were. They were unconcerned about being seen naked.

Very very zombie thread🧟‍♂️

Why has nobody but jenwren actually read what she said?

She talks about being in the bath.
This is not waltzing about flaunting her body!

Please read the link (at least)!

Absolutely not.
I went on holiday with a friend & brother who was two years younger, in our twenties. I was horrified enough to see her walking completely naked, Barr head towel, in front of him. That was bad enough.

Not worth reading links or anything for an 8 year old thread which was revived by a troll.

NotSpaghetti Sun 12-Oct-25 10:14:29

Maybe not to you, but the question is the same and still valid Oreo

Good advice.

I can’t imagine walking around naked even when my children are not at home, it just isn’t something I have ever done. My DH either.
But had a German friend once who took a very nonchalant attitude to this.
Horses for courses I suppose and if is the done thing in a family household for adults to walk around in the buff I don’t think it would be too traumatic.

I don’t get these troll threads!

fancyflowers Sun 12-Oct-25 10:59:05

Goodness, no! I don't even like looking at myself naked, and I would hate anyone else to.

Caleo Sun 12-Oct-25 11:02:28

No. Not unless the whole family were happy nudists.

JenniferEccles Sun 12-Oct-25 11:09:33

This is an old thread but it has made interesting reading!

Luckily I don’t have a son so there’s no need to answer this question.

Ditto but if I did have one the answer is NOoooooooo.

I take the point about whether nakedness is customary or natural in any person's particular household.
It never has been in mine.
I am too self-concious to wander about naked.
😄😒🤣

Er, yes, and they have. Both around the house and we've all skinny dipped naked together. Older than 25...

One of ours only stopped his lifetime habit of coming in our bed for a cuddle in the mornings, when his wife gently hinted he was a bit old for that.

Well, I don’t have a son……but my two sons in law and my 20 yr old grandson would be appalled at the prospect of seeing me naked……….and so would I!
