That was ment to say, who's looking forward to work tomorrow.

We are both retired so no jobs to get back to but our son is with us for a while as his house has the builders in. He goes back to work tomorrow and our various activities will restart after the Xmas break. My knitting groups and DH's lunch clubs. Can't wait!

I'm not back to work 'til Friday, I agree though I do like a bit of routine

Me too, getting our voluntary library ready for opening tomorrow, books to catalogue and shelves to organise. I enjoy my volunteering.

No longer working but will be glad to get back to some sort of routine [and eat less....].

I started back today, lovely to get out of the house and chat to someone different. My son goes back to work tomorrow so normal life resumes. OH (retired) floats about doing not a lot!

I'm do inconsistent. On days when I have specific things to do I long for a day off. Then when I have days with nothing much on I'm bored. Can't win. This Christmas break seems to have dragged on for ages and normal activities don't resume until next Monday. Just too much telly!

We're both retired but I'm busy getting organised for a long weekend away starting on 5th and after being away for Christmas it's one long round of laundry and packing. Not back to a normal routine until 9th.

I'm back at work tomorrow, though really tired after having lots of house guests over the Christmas period and I'm still recovering from having shingles in the summer. I know I do have to try to take things easy for a while and with The Wonderful Man watching me like a hawk I will try, but working with homeless people at this time of the year generates a lot of pressure.

Worked all through Christmas but it's been relaxed and easy so got to work properly again soon! Not a problem though

Although active and have volunteering jobs on the go, I would much rather have a job, worse day of my life when I retired. I envy people getting up today and going to work.

Lots of busy bees ! Granyactivist make sure you take it easy shingles is horrible, and takes a lot of getting over, my mum still has pain 2 years on.Ninathenana have a lovely break, were hoping to get away at the end of January, just need to decide where to!

Seaside22 what's your physical job? I'm curious. The only physical "job" I have is carrying shopping back from the supermarket - a 10 minute walk. I could drive, but I think of it as weight training. I've also intuitively learnt just how much I can carry equally in each hand.

I start my one-day-a-week office job again today, in my tiny study under the stairs. Website content management, drafting a newsletter. Stuff I enjoy anyway. Break for tea and a biscuit at 11 ...

I do like routine.

I retired end of May 2017.

Isn't it nice being a 'busy bee'? Like lots of others, I am back to my volunteer job this afternoon. It will be lovely to catch up with my friends there.

I agree with auntieflo. I restart my volunteering job this afternoon and am looking forward to seeing people again.
I have become very lazy these last ten days. No house guests, so I made a list of jobs to do, things I don’t normally have time for, and have done hardly any. Too much sitting around watching TV.
I like my week to have some sort of routine. Normally I am routinely busy from Monday teatime till Weds 10pm, which gives me a long weekend to catch up with chores and to do something different.

Glad to get back into routine here. DH went back to bowls this morning (a match) this afternoon coaching so I get peace and quiet to catch up on my bits and pieces. Sadly the rain has drowned the golf course and I am itching to play a few holes so it may be the driving range tomorrow which is boring. Board meeting of the charity next week which will be a trial. Croquet Club meet on Monday to discuss how to get some new members for 2018 season which starts at Easter. Glad to get some activity in.

Different views in our family. Dd1 , very happy to go back as she started a new job this morning. 10 mins. from home instead of 1 hour. DD2 was back last Wednesday but not too happy to be travelling away for work this week. Dd3 getting used to not having DH to help with little one throughout the day. My DH , very happy this is the first New Year since he retired. Me... doesn’t make much difference really.

Grannyknot I work in a warehouse three days a week regularly walking 15,000 steps whilst I'm there, with plenty of bending and stretching , but luckily no lifting.

Terrific combination of earning while you walk!
